Welcome to week 2 of our November Art Journaling Muse. In the northern hemisphere this is the season when gratitude, harvest, blessings and fruitfulness are celebrated. Our Art Journal Theme this month reflects that. This month our theme is “Harvest of the Heart”. “Harvest of the Heart” evokes a personal connection with harvest.

For this week our muse is a Harvest of the Heart of mental/spiritual things.

I believe that the fruits we harvest from our heart spiritually and mentally are the things that are seen in our character, attitude and responses to the world. We call it the fruit of our hearts. Examples are:
  • Fear or Peace
  • Harshness or Gentleness
  • Frustration or Patience
  • Hatred or Love
  • Pride or Humility
  • Irritation or Grace
  • Despair or Hope
  • Irresponsibility or Faithfulness
  • Impulsiveness or Self-Control
  • Depression or Joy
  • Rage or Forgiveness
  • Foolishness or wisdom
I'd like to encourage you to think about what fruit you are currently harvesting either spiritually or mentally. If it is something you like, then celebrate it. If it's something you don't like right now, how would you like to see it change? Express yourself on your page. If you want to add written journaling but it’s very personal you could hide it for your web version, or replace it with place holder text (I often go for that option).

I have two examples.
First one is a fruit people see in me, but I rarely realise I have.

Secondly. I'm currently struggling with anxiety, and so I chose to create with my favourite quote by Corrie Ten Boom, and the theme of finding peace.

Challenge:
  • Make a layout featuring one or more spiritual/mental fruit you are “harvesting” from your heart.
  • As always you need to include TLP products on your page and meet the requirements to post in the TLP gallery - Layouts must contain at least 50% TLP products; Uploads must be less than 250k; List all credits; no off-site linking allowed.
  • Please post your layout to the Art Journaling Gallery prior to Midnight EST 30 November 2025 and then post it in this thread. (Directions below on adding layout to this thread.)
  • We will draw a winner at the beginning of next month for a coupon!! Every page you create is equal to one entry in the random draw. So, if you create 1 page you are entered once, if you create 2 pages you are entered 2 times and so on. (Maximum of four entries.)

    How to add a linked layout to this thread: Once you have uploaded your layout to the gallery, scroll down to the bottom of the page. Under "Share this Media" you will see the text "Copy GALLERY BB code". Right next to that you will see two rectangle boxes with text to the right. Click the two rectangles and that will copy the text to your clipboard. You can then paste the text in to this thread.
