I am really proud of myself today. I never in my wildest dream though I could draw a face and paint one. Finally I can tell my inner critics to shut up!! I can do it as long I have faith and keep practicing...



So ladies, nothing is IMPOSSIBLE!! Have faith and just take the courage to do it!! @PLM are you sure you can only draw a stickman!! LOL!!

Stunning! Your talent amazes me when I see your drawings and images. Don't ever believe yourself when you doubt yourself. We permit ourselves to love and support others, but we don't reciprocate those same feelings for ourselves. If you ever open up an Etsy Shop, please share!!!
 
Wow. You painted this???? That's insane crazy talent! I wish I could draw and paint. Maybe I should start. ....like you said, nothing is impossible. This is beautiful.

What you don't know is, I stop drawing, sketching , painting etc at a very young age. Mum said I wasn't creative so I didn't explore any of this till last year when I turned 41. LOL!! So it's not too late for anyone.. you will be amaze with yourself.

Thanks Jenn!! It's always easy encouraging and supporting others. When it comes to ourselves it's challenging. Currently, I do have some self doubt about selling at Etsy. What if noone likes it? What if it fails? blah!! blah!! blah!! But I will open a store at Etsy just not now. Need to brush up some skills and techniques. :)
 
maybe we should start a thread and come up with doodle/sketch/drawing/painting...
 
Beautiful. Love the texture, use of colour (on the face especially) and your shadows. Great job. And I have tried. I have taken classes. Stick men are barely recognisable even!
 
This is fantastic. It has been so much fun watching your style and skills develop. Good job sticking with it. What a growth in style. Love it!
 
@misslovescraps : you are telepathic, girl.... I bought me a notebook a while ago and opened it up this week.
It's not a real sketchbook, I wanted something to put my minute-inspiration in: thoughts, skribbles, etc.
You never know what it will lead to :giggle.

Just want to add my admiration to the other ones about your painting. It's really gorgeous and amazing! :yowza
 
Fantastic LiLi! I used to watercolor, mostly landscapes & flowers. I framed some & have them hanging around the house. But then I discover scrapbooking, and haven't picked a brush in a long time.
