i'm almost in tears...
i dropped my ehd moving it
i can't believe it
i lost everything
all my kits
all my layouts
:hissy


now i'm in tears
 
This happened to me in the fall...it was horrible. A years worth of LO's, all of my kits, I am so sorry (((hugs)))
 
I am so so sorry :( This happened to me too a couple years ago, now i have 2 ehd's with doubles on each just in case.
 
Mine is taking a slow death. Can't move anything to it! I feel your pain! :)
 
so sorry!! that gives me that sick feeling in the pit of my stomach!
 
so, so painful. :( any chance you could find a techie to try and pull some things off?

i just invested in a RAID system to back up photos, layouts and my stash. i'm not exaggerating when i say that i have slept better knowing that i have everything in triplicate.

I found some zip files on my laptop.
So I have recovered some of my stuff.
Maybe like 1% but atleast it's something, right?

The ehd is making a little clicking noise so I don't know what that means.
Anyone have any idea, maybe all is not lost???
 
it may be a power issue. if you have a local computer shop (or friend) that can break it apart, they may be able to connect it to a dock or new enclosure.

but breaking it apart totally voids the warranty.

you could also try a service like drive savers.
 
oh no! I've been there! I lost 3 years worth of pictures and 6 months worth of layouts/kits. :(

Definitely look into having the files pulled off the drive. There's a good possibility you can have most of it recovered. Fingers crossed for you.
