Thank you all for joining us today to help celebrate Nicole's special day!! Today's Slow Scrap chat is a kickoff to Nicole's Birthday celebration. You will have until tomorrow (Saturday June 18th) at 4PM EDT to complete your page.

In addition to the Slow Scrap Chat, Nicole is having a 48% off NBK Designs Birthday sale from today - Friday June 17th, through Wednesday June 22nd. Today's Slow Scrap will be a "Fun in the Sun" slow scrap. What we would love you to scrap is anything of a sunny nature... the beach, Summer, a vacation, anything showing what you are enjoying out in the sun.

Everyone who completes their page according to the instructions will receive a coupon to Nicole's store.

Please post your completed layout in The Lilypad gallery under Speed Scraps and link here in this thread so I make sure to give you credit.

GALLERY RULES: Layouts must contain at least 50% NBK products. (Templates count as 15%.) Uploads must be less than 250k. List all credits; no off-site linking allowed.

Your page must be a new page for this slow scrap and cannot be used for any other challenge or slow scrap.

In the meantime lets get started with the instructions for the fun Slow Scrap:

NBK Slow Scrap Instructions:

1) At least one pattern paper as background
2) At least 1 photo, no more than 4
3) At least 2 Word Arts
4) Paint / Scribbles
5) At least 8 more elements (in addition to the Word Arts, Paint/Scribbles)
6) Title using one of NBK's alphas
7) Date and minimal journaling.. (can be as little as where it is)
Anything else to make it your own

oh my, looked, havent unzipped any nbk things. nothing in previews shows a alpha but todays kit i got

Hi Cath.. Nicole has a lot of Alphas.. sometimes she has given some away some as gifts for chats etc. I also went to Nicole's store and clicked on Alphas to reflect her alphas so you can check your files. The alpha in the Here Comes the Sun is an awesome one, if you have the FWP :)

4) Paint / Scribbles (gold paint)
5) At least 8 more elements (3 staples, 2 greenery, 2 buttons, 1 flower)
6) Title using one of NBK's alphas (zoo)
7) Date and minimal journaling (date bottom right, journaling above title)
