Not sure if I'm posting this is the correct place... probably doesn't matter?

I saw this in the forum today and I'm clueless:
SOSN sale... (50% off certain items Wednesdays)

Can someone tell me what this is?
What does SOSN mean?
Does this happen every Wednesday? (or did I miss something special?)

Thank you!

Welcome @KairynLisa !! This is every Wednesday the SOSN stands for Something Old Something New meaning a designer item that isn't a new release but will be new to you! The designers will put up some items for a one day 50% off a selected item (s).. hope that helps and so glad you asked and have come to join us!! If you have any other questions just holler!! We are so glad to have you join us!!

@KairynLisa Yes! Every Wednesday! Woo-Hoo for 50% off! LOL

Here's a little cheat sheet for other acronyms we use around The Pad. You can find this information, as well as a bunch of other stuff, in the FAQs here: The Lilypad FAQs

...........................and if you subscribe to your favorite (of course all of them) designers newsletters, and sometimes there are other coupons, and freebies! They love to give these gals!

Sometimes there are new products in the SOSN and how good is that as a deal - 50%off something new?! Wednesdays are a stash building day for sure! Anyway, Cheryl's acronym cheat sheet is awesome too LOL you'll be speaking like a local in no time

I'm guessing TLP newsletter comes out on Tuesday?
Tuesday night usually, and also Thursday night /Friday morning for the weekend new releases!

And iNSD {international scrapbooking day} is coming this weekend. Tons of fun going on!

I haunt my mailbox on Tuesday evening waiting to see what goodies are going on sale. I'm so bad!

Mailbox??? The store has them up around 10 or 11pm - East Coast time - on Tuesdays. Ask me how I know... ha ha

Although, speaking of newsletters, be sure to sign up for the designer newsletters as they often have special price bundles or discount coupons or freebies for their subscribers. List is here.

Welcome @KairynLisa and yes, we are enablers!

Mailbox??? T
Oops. I meant to say I haunt the store! I guess it my auto-pilot typing fingers said inbox. ;-)
I'm always checking the store before I go to bed (9:30 EDT), and most of the time it's up by then. And it's usually Lynn Grieveson's emails that do come first, probably since she' in NZ. I know when I see that the sale is on in the store!

Hey ladies... one more question (well, in all likelihood, it's not really my LAST question, lol)
I'm looking at the calendar for May and there are a couple things I'm clueless about.
"Create Crate", "M3", and "MPM" - please enlighten me.

Yeah... I knew it wasn't my last question. Is there typically a 24 hour deadline for Slow Scraps? What is the typical deadline for a Speed Scrap? :)

Keep asking away! It's how you learn, and we've all been there before.
Create Crate, M3 {mixed media monthly}, and MPM {memory pockets monthly}, are 3 subscriptions that are offered. The day they release is in the calendar.

Speed scrap deadlines are typically 1 hour after the end of the instructions. Or 2 hours from the beginning of the speed scrap. So, 6pm speed scrap the deadline would be 8pm.
Slow scraps are usually 24 hours.

Pssst, we really, really want you to scrap and play, so although there are rules and deadlines, some of us "cough cough" have had deadlines a bit squishy. And to the subscriptions, they are a great bargain. Kinda nice to know something is being created that you know will be yours. I am doing a Slooow scrap on the second Wed of the month. I do a chat every second Wed of the month. Please try and come, I will save you a seat. Sometimes we even scrap.
