Anyway, what are your plans for this day... January 1st?

Besides doing your 1st MOC layout and commenting on all of the awesomeness already flooding the TLP gallery, of course.

We went to church this morning and it's a rainy, cold(ish) day here. So, we are gonna make a fire and binge on kids Netflix shows and DVR'd Hallmark movies #yayChristmasmoviesonNewYearsDay!

What's on your agenda today?
 
I took the weekend off and went away to a motel. Really looking at the past year, the surprises, changes in plans --keeping what I need and letting go of the rest. Then setting goals for the new year. So the plan of the day is dig deep into me, relax, really start off the year on a good foundation. and having the fireworks right outside my hotel room was so cool.
 
We've done a lot today. I had 2 loads of laundry in the wash before 9am.That seems like a waste of a weekend, but I still need to do the darn sheets and towels. Ugh. LOL.
And we joined the Y today and worked out--even DD did! That's one resolution started (we want to keep active).
I also bought some "gym clothes" for everyone online and some sports bras for myself (that's not an easy task, so I'm crossing my fingers at least 1 of the 5 fits!). While I was shopping we had The Peanuts Movie on, which DS got for Christmas.
I did some organizing, talked with DH about a budget (another stupid resolution rotfl), and cleaned up an email inbox--I strive for an empty inbox.
Hmm, and DH is currently making empanadas with the kids and I just finished my MOC #1 page. Phew! I'm tired. LOL.
ETA: forgot to say that I also re-pierced my ears. DD has been asking me to get them pierced since she got hers done in Sept. :) So now she wants to share earrings with me. I don't have the heart to tell her that I, as a grown woman, want the same style earrings as her tween self rotfl! :)

We had church this morning. And now, munchkin is playing with his trains, DH is sleeping (Stupid last week of graves!) and I'm going to scrap. Nothing exciting to start the year off.
 
We did some cleaning this morning, putting away all the board games from last night. . . .

Tonight it will be football Lions vs Packers
 
The forum is so busy today I almost missed this thread. And now it's the end of the day. Actually, that's good because I have more to say about the day now that it's nearly over than I would have had before it got started because I hadn't planned much.

My biggest accomplishment today is that I packed up Christmas. We have lots of knickknacks and other decorative things, plus the tree. And this time I got a real live tree for the first time in a decade, so that had to be tossed over the back fence and then there were millions of needles to sweep up!

After that was done, I relaxed by making my first MOC5 layout! :)
 
This morning we took down the Christmas decorations. This afternoon we went to the theater to see La La Land. Tomorrow we drive home and return to real life... boo!
 
I had a lazy morning, did my first MOC page, then took Taz for a 2 hr walk and took some photos of the snowy scenery. Came home for a late lunch and a nap. Have been watching the pvr since waking up from my nap. Loving this lazy day!
 
I spent a lot of time in the gallery yesterday and then went to my mom's to help her set up her new iPhone. We got her an Echo Dot for Christmas and the phone she had was too old to download the app for it. She tries to understand what I'm doing, but I'm sure I'll be getting a few calls this week :giggle
