New PS CC updates as of 4/30/2026 Adobe explains.. there are some really cool features they moved from Beta version into PSCC so you may want to check this out:
https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/desktop/whats-new/whats-new-in-adobe-photoshop-on-desktop.html

I played a little with the rotate objects and that is really cool!

The text adapt to shapes and path for the circle text and arch up and down are now easier with one click.

And the filter gallery allows you to change the background and foreground directly in the filter panel... so cool.

Here is a video of the new goodies from a person I watch re PS CC updates Colin Smith:

Wow - definitely going to play around with some of these. Thanks for posting Christa @cfile!

I've played with the layer cleanup & it didn't really seem to work in my particular work flow.

The text adapt I've played with a lot & I do love the justified- although with some fonts it's a bit funky. The shapes are super fun!

I LOVE the new actions panel- the guides I use all the time so it's nice. I also LOVE that you can set the colors on them too in the preferences so you can highlight the common ones.

I've gotta get in there a play this weekend.
I still haven't found the foreground/background color switch in the filters but I will look when I have more time :) and less woozy from the vertigo spell.

Here is another YouTube video re the April 2026 updates for PS CC

I just finally figured out how to do etched/engraved effect! goodness, sometimes I'm overwhelmed with the power of this program

@cfile Christa, thank you! That is a little mind-blowing, but now I'll have to update Photoshop. I always wait on the big updates because it seems like it always does something to interrupt my workflow, but it is so nice to see these new features demonstrated.

:) I played with the water color today :) (that uses an AI credit.. we get 250 / month)

SOme of them are so amazing!!.. Both these gentlemen do great video tutorials when new features are added. They show what is going on in the Beta version before Adobe rolls over to the main PSCC too.. fascinating.

An Ai credit ? Oh my gosh- I am clueless so so much to learn
Lol i dont use them much but doing thewatercolor i think used a few.. that last video shows how to find hiw many you used!

Thanks for sharing Christa! I don't feel like I have time to learn new things in Photoshop these days, but someday I will!

I've been playing around with some of the features. I had to rewrite some of my actions due to the changes they made to how actions are represented in the history state (as a single history state vs each step), so that was a bit annoying, but it wasn't a huge deal. I am disappointed the Find General Distractions tool isn't currently compatible with my MAC :( Hopefully that changes!

I was having some weird behavior with my move tool randomly selecting different layers and not moving correctly, so I went back to the previous version. Hopefully they will address any issues in short order. I tried troubleshooting, but mostly what I found was reset all tools which really messed things up the last time I did that and that this version is not properly recognizing the size of the scratch disk on Mac’s. So, I’ll hold off for a bit.

I had issues like that the last update on windows, not this latest time though. Still trying to find the foreground /background color change in the filter gallery though!
