... I'm desperately trying to find my way to a spell checker on Firefox , also have a problem for right click copy and paste...
In the old computer, the Firefox would subline the word in red, and then I right click and it gives e option to change...
noit in the new one
Also, I have to manually move the mouse to trhe toolbar to copy and thejn to paste...right click doesn't work?
do any of you know how to sort these out?
if so, thank you in advance!!!!

I just tried using Firefox v 46 (OS X 10.11.4 El Capitan) and I am getting the red line showing under any misspelled words. It will let me right click and see a list of choices in order to correct.
Under system preferences: check Keyboard > Text > and make sure Correct Spelling Automatically is checked.

I can also copy and paste without having to go to the toolbar. When you highlight the text - make 100% sure you are right clicking over the highlighted area. Otherwise it will not work. Or you can use keyboard keys Command + C to copy and Command + V to paste. Another easy option is highlighting/selecting the text while holding the Option key and just dragging to wherever you want the new text.

I will go make sure I set the preferences.... Wish told me earlier about the option key, but to me the right click and copy paste and edit is far easier so if there is a way in the preferences, I ll go do that... thanks Jennn <3

I went to the preferences keyboard text and the thing was checked... I can edit now by holding the control key ar the same time if right clicking, but it was easier before :(
maybe is the fact that I haven't slept for 3 days LOL

you should be able to click on the right side of your mouse (even though there aren't true left/right buttons on it) for a "right Click" ....without having to hold down the Control key.

oh and get some sleep!!!! 3 days??? i know insomnia is an issue for you, but i hope you can try to get some rest! :beat

LOL I love you , yes 3 days, but finally I slept last night!!!! Sarita is of from work so she is cooking something whilst I post here :) I ll try with the mouse... I do click on right side but the drop down menu doesn't come up unless I hold the control key? I'll try again :)

The above suggestion is a good one but you may want to have a tech walk you through it if you've never done it. It's also a lot of 'key's to hold down at once - alone. But as it's a new Mac, you might try calling Apple, even in the middle of the night if you'r struck sleepless again. (aargh...poor dear. Missing sleep is a hard one.)
