Apparently today is National New Conversations Day, sponsored by Awkward Silence. Here in the UK, conversation with new people we meet tends to revolve around the weather. Awkward Silence want us to widen that out.

So I have two questions. One is the more traditional, and one from their list of suggestions:

  1. What's the weather like?
  2. What would be the first thing you'd say if you stepped on the moon?

  1. It's rather windy and damp out, but the breeze coming through the house is nice and refreshing after the recent heat. (We don't have air conditioning.)

1. Temps where I like it in the 80's but I can do without the scattered thunderstorms that are predicted (although we could use some rain)

What's the weather like?
It will be hot - 91F/32C - but it will not be humid, so it will be really gorgeous out! All sun, no clouds. It would be a perfect day at the beach! I'm at work though, so I can't go there or sit by the pool with my friend, Boooooo! lol! (I'm in NJ, USA)

What would be the first thing you'd say if you stepped on the moon?

  1. What's the weather like? It was so beautiful here today! In the 80's, humidity is not too bad, and just the right amount of scattered clouds. I was outside a lot!!
  2. What would be the first thing you'd say if you stepped on the moon? Holy S***!! Like @amien1 said, I have a bit of a potty mouth and feel sure there would be cursing.

Hahah! I didn't even think of an expletive! You all crack me up!
Reason is. I don't curse much. (Though when I do, my friends find it hilarious.)
 
Weather: The weather is hotter than hades. Yes, I know South Florida has hot summers. But this is just too much.

The Moon: David! (Cause no way I'm on the moon without him. He's loved space since he was a little boy.)
 
Weather: We had rain yesterday afternoon and now it's cool today. Only 70°F / 21°C

Moon: I have no idea what I'd say, but probably where is my camera! (or an expletive)

I'm totally chuckling how many of us have potty mouths (me included sometimes) :giggle
