Need ideas for birthday gift for 8 year old boy

just a word of advice if you decide to go the beyblade route... if he has like a super younger (ie infant) sibling i'd maybe not pick that one. They're basically metal top things that you.. shoot with a plastic rip cord. They're SUPER popular with the school kid friends ce has but i refuse to play with him anymore (as an only child, mom gets torutred with boy toys :p ). They hurt if your kid.. accidentally misses the plastic arena and shoots you in the hand :p
