I know everyone goes through this, but my heart is so much in pain for my sweet eldest boy. He has chicken-pox, but he is almost six, so he is really more aware of it. My youngest has had it too, but as he was smaller, he slept a lot through it.
There is not much we can do except giving him meds for the pain, something against the itch...
But it's really only coming up and when he has his bad moment and is crying and saying ouch ouch, it feels my world is falling down.

Sorry of this is a depressed message, but I need to vent my heart.

Thx girls for listening...

Awww poor little guy! I know how you feel sweetie, my eldest got them when she was about ten (even with vaccination! but a much milder dose) and she was miserable! The hardest part is not letting them scratch the itch. I put socks on her hands at night so she didn't scratch her face while she was asleep ... worked for the most part although she does have one deep scar above her eyebrow. Its awful when they are sick and miserable ... sending you and your poor sick boy much hugs xx

Aww my kids was little when they had it so not so bad just gabbi to have it now, have you tried piriton for the itching and calomine lotion

Hope he feels better soon

It's getting worse and worse but the symptoms are not chicken pox, we think now it's hand foot and mouth ilness (sorry translation is not easy) We called the doctor who is on watch this weekend and we can go there in an hour and a bit.
Thank you girls for your sweet words...

Aww, poor boy! I hope you get some help when you go in to the doctor this morning. My girls had hand and foot when they were babies and it was hard. I feel terrible any time my little ones are sick, too. It means you love them and you're a good mommy!

i feel for you! only 6 ... that is tough! i had them when i was 13. had them every single place possible ... it really is so unpleasant. can you do Aveeno oatmeal baths? (well, Aveeno is the brand here in USA ... but I remember that being soothing. also putting iodine on them to help dry them out) hugs to you both ... that this passes quickly!

oops. just read that 2nd updated post from you Sarah. thinking of you & i hope it passes quickly.

Poor little guy. I hope you are able to get some good medicines soon and that he's feeling better soon. I totally understand the sadness as a mom... it's awful watching your kids be sick and not being able to fix it right away.

Poor baby, Bianca hasn't had them, neither has my hubby or me.

Oh no, poor little guy! I hope he is feeling better soon and that you can get something for him that will make him comfortable.

Not a good day at all yesterday... The doctor confirmed, but there are no real meds to cure it. We can only give him pain meds every 3 hours and the first hour everything goes rather good. After 2 it's hell and counting down the hour to his new 'shot' of painkillers.
LAst night, he was soooo tired, but he couldn't fall asleep at all.
Luckily, hubby looked for him. I was wasted after the tough day.
And I have a new one ahead today! I also hope he will get better soon. It all depends on the person. The doctor said it could take 5 to 10 days....

Hugs to you. And I hope it's a shorter course for sweet boy's sake (and for momma's sake)

We went to our own doctor yesterday. We had no good feeling about the weekend doctor who was on watch and we didn't know.
Mathieu just had a crisis while we were there. He gave give some meds and we gave it immediately yesterdayevening. He had a really good night and slept rather long.
So, I'm crossing my fingers!!!
THx for the support girls!

I completely understand, I used to tear up when my girl got a shot. Now I can't stand to see my grands sick or in pain. Best wishes to you and your little guy for a speedy recovery!

I'm so glad that he finally had a good night. Being able to rest quietly will help him recovery more quickly. Poor little guy!

It is so hard to see our little ones suffer so much! I truly hope he gets better very soon. I'm glad the meds are helping!
