oh boy what a fun day I had!

I was driving along on my way to the dentist

and for absolutely no good reason my car horn started tooting all by itself, like I was holding my hand on the horn. It was soooo loud, so I pulled over to see if I could stop it but it stopped by itself, so I continued driving to the dentist.

As I approached each intersection and applied the brakes my horn would toot, but like a toot you would give a friend if you see them walking by. So a couple of times I was tooting at complete strangers and they were waving to me wondering who I was. :giggle

On the way home from the dentist my car behaved itself and didn't toot anyone, so I thought it should be OK but NO! A few hours later it decides to toot its head off whilst sitting in the drive way. I couldn't get it to stop! DH wasn't home but 2 of the neighbours came to my rescue and found the appropriate fuse to pull out. Man it was loud!!

So I've had the giggles most of the day, looks like I'm off to get my car fixed though.
 
That is pretty funny! Glad nothing bad happened from it.

There is a comedian named Brian Regan, he has a skit about how that happened to him one time. He was sitting in traffic and his horn kept going off. People kept looking and staring so he pretended like he was cheering for a sports team.

LOL! That would drive me crazy. I had a car where the horn would stick, if you pushed on it then you couldn't get it to stop. Never had one where the horn just went off randomly, though.
 
haha that would have been soooo embarrassing!! That happened to my Dad once and when he got home he was ripping it apart until he found the horn fuse LOL He was so mad
