Yesterday....I had to take my baby in to register him for all day kindergarten. I don't know how I feel about this!!

He was the very first 2016-2017 kindergartener to register so there were tons of people taking his picture!!

Here he is with our school principal.

Oh the memories! How fun to get to be first and be extra-special. Good luck to mom on the adjustment. He looks like he's ready and going to give the teacher many smiles and laughs.

It seems like yesterday I started my last one in kindergarten and she is 40 now!!! Its a special time and what wonderful photos to mark the memory!!! He sure is a cutie!

Ogoodness... he is adorable! So exciting, yet not! So big, so fast!

My grandson started all-day kindergarten this year and he LOVES it. :) It is tough at first to get over the emotion, but you'll get used to it. :) Fun for him being the first!

Oh how I wish mine were little again. My baby is 16 and getting her license in the next couple weeks. And my oldest is 21. What??

My older daughter turns 30 this fall but I still have vivid memories of her first day of kindergarten. My younger daughter was homeschooled for kindergarten, she's 25 now. I remember she finished all the kindergarten curriculum in 3 weeks and I had to scramble to purchase and prepare first grade materials for her. She was homeschooled all 12 years and my older daughter from 4th grade on. Ah, the good old days. From then on they were in different grades for different subjects. Like one would be 8th grade English but 7th grade math and 10th grade science. They learned at their own pace and abilities. I think the grandbabies are going to go to actual schools and I'm already freaking out about it. My granddaughter is 4 so will start pre-K this fall. They grow up too fast.

How fun for Derek! I'm sure he loved all the excitement around getting signed up. Look out teachers! Lol! I can't wait for the funny things he tells his teachers. Hee hee! :)

I just registered my baby boy for kindergarten too :( They need to stop growing so fast! ;)

Sniff sniff, gosh - treasure these moments. He is adorable! ♥Mine are on their own or finishing college - it is a fleeting thing when you look back!

awww Kim!!!!!! I remember when you were pregnant!!!!!! he is looking so delightfully cute and sweet....
I have to admit, though I love every day of my life with Sarita (even with the teenage thing) if I was to be asked which time I would like to re-live, it would be the 2 untill 11 years old.... and especially when she started reception (is what they call Kinder Garden here) which was when we came back to England.....
Derek is reminding me of those cute times <3 he ius gorgeous, I am sure you are already super proud!!!! I am sure he will give you some amazing moments ....so great that you shared this with us!!!!!
