did anyone brave the movies this weekend?

we went and saw Sherlock Holmes. Avatar is on the list but that may wait til next weekend.
 
Wasn't really the weekend...but we did take Seth to see Alvin & the Chipmunks on it's opening day. The showtime that we wanted to see was sold out but we got tickets for the next showing before it sold out. It was cute but I liked the first better. Seth LOVED it...he is a fan of all things rodent, animated & singing lol.
 
How was Sherlock holmes? We saw avatar, it was awesome but I really want to see Sherlock holmes next week.
 
We went last week and saw Up in the Air. It was good. I really want to see Sherlock Holmes and I think we may take DS to Alvin, not sure yet though.
 
we saw Avatar yesterday and loved it. hope to see Holmes soon, too...
 
My brother is taking the boys to see Alvin and the Chipmonks this afternoon - just couldn't bear seeing it myself :lmao

Anyone care to give a review of Sherlock Homes? DH were thinking of seeing it, but it didn't get a good review in our paper. I'd really like to see Avatar, so maybe we'll go on New Year's Day.
 
i really really really really REALLY want to see sherlock holmes! hopefully the hubster and i can get away this weekend to see it!
 
oh, we saw where the wild things are at the cheap theatre and it was just ok. usually i like indie stuff but parts of it were just too out there for me.
 
i enjoyed sherlock holmes very much except there are dark bits to it that i'm not a fan of. robert downey jr does a good job and the matching of jude law was pretty brilliant. i go to movies to be entertained so i'm not one to "try and figure stuff out" - if you know what i mean. but my son is - and he got a few of the things. me? nada.
 
took my dd too see Princess and the Frog last night- very cute.....and seeing Sherlock in an hour with my sister!
 
We went and saw Blind Side on Christmas day - LOVED it! We are taking the kids to a matinee on Tue. morning of Alvin and the Chipmunks the Squekwal!
 
Ooohhhh!!! I want to go see Sherlock Holmes too and was hoping to arrange a date night of sort with DH next weekend....
 
We took the kids to Princess and the Frog. It was cute. The animation was really fantastic! And having lived in New Orleans, it was kinda fun to experience Disney's version of the culture.
 
Well, it's not Christmas Day, but we're taking the kids to see The Princess and the Frog today and then we're headed out Friday to see Avatar. Can't wait!

We saw Princess and the Frog, Alivin & the Chipmunks, and we have plans for lots of other movies before the week is over! :)
 
We used to go to a movie on Christmas Day and then bugga came along and she totally taxed that gig. In fact, she taxed the "going to the movies" gig altogether. We don't go to many. Think maybe that's a thing to change for 2010. More movie date nights.

Sounds like these were fab movies!!
 
We just got back from The Squeakquel. Man, I love 9:30 a.m. shows. The theater was empty. The movie was cute and the kiddos loved it!
