movie snacks | pad patter 6.7.22

I like to take a water bottle too and I also take a fleece blanket throw to keep me warm in the theater. Those recliners are nice but it can get cold when you're all spread out on them and the AC is blowing on you.
Yep, I take a fleece throw with me too ... the print is a movie theater theme ... popcorn boxes, 3D glasses, etc. I always freeze in theaters!

I LOVE Pirate's Booty!! :heartlub:heartlub It's kind of like popcorn. It's aged white cheddar and my dd says it's like eating air. They all make fun of me for liking it.

We just got home from Top Gun a little while ago. Our go-to movie snacks are a large buttered popcorn to share, Twizzlers for me, and M&M's for Chance. This time we only got drinks because we went to eat at Red Robin before the movie.

When my older two (live-in) grandkids were in braces our orthodontist recommended Pirate's Booty, but none of us liked it. So they just didn't eat popcorn and other treats while in braces. The day they got their braces off we went to the drugstore and bought a bag full of "forbidden" treats.

I missed popcorn when I had all my dental issues so was looking forward to eating it again after I got my implants. But the kernels tend to get stuck between the implant and my gums/side of mouth and can actually hurt. So I'm very selective about eating it. I did find a Puffed corn product that is baked that isn't bad at all. Yeah, it's not popcorn but it is awfully close without the kernels and hulls. So I've been snacking on that in the evenings.

Rene ... I love popcorn, but I have issues with it getting stuck in my teeth and gums, so I don't eat it much. That's why I tend to take Pepperidge Farm Goldfish to the movies. :)

I went to a movie theater movie last week with my daughter. First time in a theater since pre-pan. We saw Bob's Burgers lol. We both watch the show, and my husband does not so he did not mind us going without him.

We always get popcorn. I never eat popcorn at home but such a treat in the theater.

Oh I'll bet that was fun for them!! Pirate's Booty is an acquired taste. Hahaha

Popcorn with sour cream seasoning and coke zero. I love to get a box of astros (like m &Ms) thrown into the popcorn as well. That way every so often you get a kick of chocolate. We haven't seen anything recently though.

i had a hard time figuring out what some of those things are - i thought 2 was rice crackers and mustard but looking at some of the responses, i'm thinking that's your version of nachoes?- is that really what melted cheese looks like there? what is 3??
if 5 is honeycomb, i'd have a few pieces of that - we haven't been to the movies in a really long time, like a few years before covid - the kids would have a freddo frog (chocolate frog), chuppa chup (lollypop) or muesli bar each and a popper (juice box).
At home, we do pizza with a movie or microwave popcorn - the birds like popcorn too but it's made on the stove from scratch with no salt or butter etc for them

We don't go to the theater any more. We wait to buy or rent or watch when the movie hits HBO/Amazon etc. But #1 and #4 - Popcorn and Chocolate. And if the chocolate is plain M&M's, I like to put that into the popcorn. The hubby likes the skinny girl, lime flavored popcorn brand. It is a staple at our house.
