Well next sunday in the uk its mothers day(im sure we celebrate before all you lot) anyway i love radley bags was lucky to get one for christmas here is a link for you to see radley HERE,anway my other half said do i want another for mothers day off the kids :think. bloody hell i'd love one but wouldnt want that spending on me especilly off the kids so said no i will have a bunch of flowers

Ooh great bags! I think you should say yes too. Mothers day was on valentines day over here this year, and I got a plant (that hasn't died yet - go me!) and taken out for yummy dinner. And I was allowed to bake myself a cake;) Not really, SO wanted to buy one, but I prefer home made, and I do not trust him with cake baking, so I made it myself.

I think I would say yes to the bag too ;) Kristine, where are you? I always thought us Brits were the earliest to celebrate Mothering Sunday!

I'm in Norway, and it seems we beat you;)

Good thing Karen started this thread though, I might remember to call my MIL on Sunday now (she's in the UK).

Thanks for the reminder Karen!

Must. Sort. Cards. Out...

My mum is PATHETIC about cards and gets really stroppy if it's late (usually), and / or has the wrong wording on it (always). This particular celebration should apparently be Happy Mother's Day (but I have to do Mothering Sunday for my aunt - except she doesn't care ...) and it needs to say 'Mum', not mom or mother or whatever.

I think I'll make them, it'll be quicker. I'm thinking that whitespace is my friend in this case :)

ya know a card to me is just that and i prefer a card that the kids have made at school that everyone else thinks is crappy but to me means the world cause they made it for me even tho finlay makes his for the dog and not me lol,why you got to do mothering sunday for ya aunt???? my inlaws do that they send cards to each other on mothers day and fathers day,i warned my husband if he ever did that i would divorce him im not his mom lol

If the bag was coming off him i would say yes but as its supposed to be off the kids (even tho he is paying) i dont like saying yes i think presents off children should be token presents so.......... He can buy it me the week after for just being me lol

and ya all welcome for the reminder and kate i also thought we was the first to celebrate it and it falls this year on my sons birthday!

so.......... He can buy it me the week after for just being me lol

This is so classic!! Perfect strategy Karen!!!

Ours doesn't fall till sometime in May. I usually get a gift of some sort. BUT I really really really want an iPad when they come out so I told my husband that the iPad could be my mothers day gift and christmas gift. So most likey I will just get dinner out and whatever my son makes for me in kindergarten. You are right Karen, kid presents are the BEST presents!

kelle i have a stategy that gets me whatever i want

I have no idea why I have to get a card for my aunt. I don't mind too much cos she's lovely and she like to get pics of the girls. But it's my mum that I get the ear bending off if I forget :groan

I agree entirely - cards are just bits of card (cardmakers don't beat me up!) and I prefer to only bother if it's someone I don't see regularly. Thankfully my in-laws don't make a fuss so MIL isn't expecting anything. It's her 60th birthday soon so I'll save the ideas for that!

Enjoy your new bag!
