I am just finishing up an online course where for each week you have to have x number of 'substantive' posts, where you cite reading, give personal examples, ask questions, etc. Today is the last day of the class and I had already submitted my final papers, but thought that I had one last substantive post to write to complete the requirements. I logged on this morning, checked my participation requirement--all done!! I already had the exact number I needed :yeses :yeses

So that was my little Monday morning surprise! What about you? anyone else have a fun little surprise this morning?

Ohhh that's super awesome, Becky. It's a wonderful feeling to be more ahead than you think!

Let's see...here's my latest...
My youngest did a long-distance Skype audition for a children's theater troupe's next musical production. We just found out that she got a part!!! Great surprise. :)

Wow Laura...that's awesome!!! Congrats to your DD!!
My latest surprise, didn't really happen to me. My fiance has been trying to change his career (he was a radio DJ) for almost a year, and he just landed a new sales coordinator position with a huge company...and he didn't even hand in a resume!! He just met with the supervisor for lunch, and 20 minutes later, got a call with the offer.
I'm SO proud and happy for him!!

Oh nice, Becky! Isn't it such a great feeling to know you're ahead!
Laura- congrats, how exciting!!

No surprises here, just my little Pomeranian tearing up his pee pad as usual for me when I woke up. :dizzy So annoying... can't get him to stop doing this.

I've just come back from a holiday with my husband's family that we couldn't really afford; my husband's family have been so incredibly generous and wonderful to us that we had the best holiday ever <3

It wasn't a fun surprise, just got back from meeting with the pediatric orthopedist and discovered that my youngest will be missing 3 of his 4 weeks of camp in July due to his broken collarbone. And this is my 8 year old who is a little ball of pure energy. I don't know how I'm going to work and look after him for 3 weeks (and possibly more...he gets reassessed in 3 weeks time). He gets bored with his iPad and with watching TV, and I work from home and telecommute to Ontario with lots of upcoming deadlines. It's going to be a very long 3 weeks...

Oh, not a fun surprise at all!

My surprise last weekend was so much fun!! We were married for 5 years and my hubby arranged a surprise weekend at Paris!!!
I do not like surprises mostly, but this one I really did!

My sister is currently not speaking to me (loooooong story, but truly not my fault) and I 'had' to see her last week for the first time since her silent treatment began. She ignored me and my daughter and wouldn't hold my son (her first time meeting him), but her husband (who I have always thought of as a great guy) went out of his way to talk to us and made sure to hold the baby. I assumed this was out of general politeness.

However, he really went above & beyond when he came over to our car after dinner to hug all of us and say goodbye. He had to know there was a good chance he'd have a fight with my sister in their car on the way home for doing so, but he did it, anyways. I was really surprised and touched and grateful that, despite his wife being a you-know-what, he was willing to 'risk' it for my kids. He knows how much my daughter loves him (and my sister), and he wasn't going to get caught up in the drama or potentially hurt my daughter's feelings.

my one good thing for today was waking up without gallstone pain for the first time in 4 days. Its been a struggle, ugh. here's hoping it stays away for awhile!

Oh LeeAndra, what a sad story to read and yet heartwarming what your brother-in-law has done.
I am hoping with you that things will turn out better over time.
Many hugs to you!

My laptop broke, I left it on the couch and my great dane stepped on it...ouch! I've been babying the broken screen for a few weeks now, and yesterday my hubby surprised me with a Macbook Pro!! Well, the confirmation email, lol, it won't be here til Thursday. I can't wait!

A couple months back my little brother thought it would be funny to post a sonogram picture on Facebook. I told him it would come back to bite him in the butt! Sure enough he and his girlfriend announced they are expecting for real. I am super excited. We recently decided that two kids was enough for us, and I was kinda feeling a little sad. Now I will have a little bean to spoil and send back to his/her parents :giggle

awww that was really nice of him, great show of his character.

Just last Thursday, my organization's top mgmt announced (finally!) the new change / direction for a few offices. And that include mine.

We're expecting it. But the details are a shock to our system.

My good news: I will have a new boss but dunno when.
My bad news: I will have a new boss but dunno when.

So ... go figure ...

That is the reason behind this LO of mine.

That line was circling around my brain like crazy :dizzy :dizzy :dizzy :dizzy :dizzy, from Thurs up til Sat noon. Then it came back on Monday. Now is Tuesday but there's no sighting yet. So keeping figners crossed.
