What's on tap for your day?

I've taken the girl to school, run a couple of errands and now i'm making the rounds online. i made a huge dent in the laundry yesterday, but still need to finish up. the weather is absolutely gorgeous here so i'm going to try and spend as much time enjoying it as possible before volleyball practice this afternoon.

DH relieved me from driving duties (sooo nice not to have to make that trek) this morning, so Ribby & i took a walk. now, to finish a few loads of laundry (it never ends)...

Monday is laundry day for me as well!!
I could not sleep last night and have no idea what time in the wee hours I finally fell asleep and so have passed the last 2 hours in a super lazy fashion, drinking my coffee, checking forums, watching news. Am now thinking how much work I could have gotten done and need to get up and get it done.....thankful for a work at home job, though, so I can have this luxury!

back at work and feeling pretty crappy. i have bronchitis and now a sinus infection. i would love to crawl back into bed right now.

we are in process of planning a neighborhood halloween party (kids and adults) and we decided to go with a "mad scientist" theme for food and decorations - since both dh and I are scientists. i was planning on having potions in beakers/jars with body parts floating around. any other cool ideas girls?

Sorry your feeling so down Rachel. That stinks! And wow! A Party for the neighborhood!! How fun. We did a Mad Scientist Birthday for my son. I'm not sure my ideas will help cause we only had like 8 kids. But we did "make your own monster" cupcakes. Basically you put all kinds of candy out to make faces. We hired the a group to come in and do science demonstration. He used dried ice and bubbles to do some fun things. He showed the kids how to make slime. We gave the kids lab googles and pincher like things that I got through Oriental Trading company.

Last friday, we made Monster Eyeballs for supper. Super easy. You mix taco seasoning, water and beef. Then you make a meatball, roll it in broken up chips, put it in a muffin tin, make a dent in the top, top with taco cheese, put on a dab of sour cream, a couple of drips of taco sauce, and top with a sliced black olive. The kids loved them and they would be easy to serve at a party.

Sorry for the hjack.

Today, I have to call the exterminator. DANG MICE!!!!! Hate mice!!! Grocery shop and hopefully get to some scrapping.

Hope everyone has a nice Monday.

My list is quite long for today, but I'm just sitting here on the computer. I think I'm going to go clean bathrooms, start some laundry, and then get ready. I'm waiting for a phone call from someone who is supposed to meet with one of my boys. He is with a company to help him get a job. Pat has some learning difficulties and is going through the dept. of rehabilitation, and there is a possibility of a really good job, but it's 30 minutes away, and even at 23, he doesn't drive yet. He took the written part of the test...they basically gave it to him after they asked him some of the questions verbally, so I think I'm going to call a driving school. None of us will take him out to practice driving. He could use my dh's old truck to get to work, otherwise I have to find a way to get him there at 5:30 every morning and get him picked up. Could be tough with my work schedule.

Other than that...errands. One of my boys lost is wallet, so now we have to go to the DMV and get another license, new school ID. I need a pedicure and my nails done today. Just getting things ready for my trip in a week, and then for when my dh comes home for a visit on the 22nd!

feel better soon rachel! and who would like to add some of my laundry to their load? i totally have to do that tonight!

but for now, i am at apple, in a session with two of my favorite customers. one is scrapping a book from her sons basketball photos and the other is making an invitation for a birthday party. after this heading off to the studio to train my replacement for when i go out of town. but yes, tonight = clean the house and do the laundry. yuck!

Hubby gave me a Honey Do list this morning of cleaning up and organizing a bit, so I did all that this morning. Girls are now just down for a nap and I am going to SCRAP...it's been too long!

like everyone else i have laundry to do!!
sorry your sick katrina! we were sick last week and its no fun!

i just saw this blog today that had some general decorating ideas, but you could go along with the 'body parts' idea with some of the snack food labels she has here... quick & easy but oh-so-cute!

oh and let's see, for me today.... i had an ultrasound (nothing exciting, though, so no starting rhumors!! lol) this morning, then came home, built a shelf to organize recycling in the garage, swept out the garage, planted some ground cover, mowed, hung new pictures, arranged some new decorations, grabbed the kids, did swim class, dinner, homework, and now i'm ready to crash!
