I got in from Tampa last night so my brain is still a little foggy but here we are already! Another Monday.....

The kids only have 2 days of school this week so come Wednesday we are off to Pittsbugh to celebrate Thanksgiving with my inlaws. It's a 6 hour drive so I'm hoping it's not too terrible.....

We leave there on Saturday and then Sunday Emma and I head to DC for her American Girl birthday extravaganza :thumbsups I think I may be a little more excited about that then she is :)

I have not 1 single Christmas decoration up because I just can't bring myself to decorate until after Thankgiving is over but once we get back it's going to be full on holiday mode around here. I'm so excited! It finally feels like Christmas here for the first time in almost 10 years :yesss

Only 2 days of school here this week too. It will just be the four of us, so lots of chill down time, just the way I like it. :) DS does have to find some major time to get together with his science partner, since their big project is due a week from today, and they've not actually even done the experiment yet. {sigh}
 
Man...you've been quite the traveler, Kelly!

My daughter has this week off from school. I would have had to work Mon, Tues and 1/2 day Wednesday but I always take this week off. We leave tomorrow to our cabin so today I need to finish packing for myself and wash some bedding to take up. I can't wait to get away for the week.
 
Really not very much at all planned for the week. It's just the three of us for Thanksgiving so even that is low key this year.
 
3 day work week!! HOLLA! [I'm hoping we get to leave early Wednesday, so it'll be more like 2.5 days!]

No traveling this year and half of the crew at my ILs' won't be there this year, so it'll just be my bunch (we do have my stepson this year) + the ILs. I always try to talk MIL down when this happens into doing easier/not as much food, but she insists it all has to be made or it isn't 'real' Thanksgiving.

We're having a pitch-in tomorrow at work and I'll volunteer to bring something dessert-y and GF for Turkey Day, but otherwise, I won't have much extra cooking this week. Mama like!

I plan on spending my long weekend sleeping in, playing with Miss Monkey, plowing through more episodes of 'Felicity,' & scrapping. I need to figure out what to do with Christmas cards this year, too. I can't decorate for Christmas until the first week in December because I don't want to have to do the extra week in my Daily December album and I always include tree decorating in it! :giggle
 
My girls have all week off...and my husband got stuck working all week. Yup even on Thanksgiving. I have the turkey in the fridge but it is still undecided whether we will be having it or not.

Today I'm heading to another doctors appointment. Little 1/12 mo old has a terrible cold and she can't breathe because of it. When calling the doctor to make the appointment they said they may just send us to the ER...an hour away.

Sigh...I should go and get prepared from the long week. At some point I'm going to work on my DD album, but who knows when that will be?

Kelly, where in Pittsburgh? I will be heading that way as well. My sister lives really close to the Robinson Shopping Plaza.
 
Trip to the dentist for a filling today, off to the Orthopedic specialist tomorrow to see if "ultra-sound" therapy might heal my foot any faster, kids are off Wed- next Monday, and my cleaning lady quit! She was upset because I asked her not to use the wood polish on my slate tables!!
 
This week is going to be crazy! I work at at studio where we publish 15 newspapers and the Thursday Thanksgiving editions are our biggest issues all year. Each paper probably has about 100 pages! Then I still need to find some time to clean up my house because we're having 15-20 people over for dinner on Thursday.
 
Taking the boys to the dr, bringing the van in to be checked, putting together a menu for Thanksgiving, ILs will be here on Wednesday, Thursday morning I'll be running a 5k with my SIL, then come home and make dinner... I'm excited and totally overwhelmed at the same time lol
 
Only 2 days of school here also. I started a new babysitting gig today for an 18 month old - He's so much fun to have a around and my kids love him to bits! I watch him 4 days a week -- M, Tu, W, and Sat. just a few hours each day - his parents' schedules overlap (he works long first and she works second into third). It means a little extra cash in my pocket, which means my shopping here at TLP just got easier! No more begging the hubby. LOL

Having the family here for dinner on Thursday. Should be interesting 20 people smashed into my house - not the biggest gathering we've ever had, but my SIL invited herself (2 adults and 3 children) - so I'm not in the best mood about the extra 5 guests. :(

Other than babysitting and Thanksgiving - nothing special going on around here.
 
i'm still trying to recover from not feeling well. boo. bad timing on my part.

this week, we have 2 days of school also. tomorrow we are cooking a thanksgiving feast for all 900+ kids in the elementary. should be an interesting morning. hmmm...

wednesday we all have dentist appointments.:whoopdedoo and then my friend's 3 boys are coming over to stay with us for the day while their mom goes to school.

thursday my parents are coming for dinner...will be nice to actually have guests for TG.

and i think my crazy mom wants to go shopping fri morning. which could be fun. but i could take it or leave it really. whatever. it's fun to be with her though, so i'll go with it.

saturday we are watching ND beat USC so they can stay #1... i will wake up with butterflies that will have developed into full-out nausia before the game ever starts. why do i watch football? why do i do this to myself?
