Let's see. I don't have a busy week stretching out in front of me, exactly. But this morning started off with an unfortunate bang. I drive my daughter 10 miles via a freeway to her school, but this morning, the police had the road the exit funnels off onto closed. So there was a loooong loop of cars coming down the exit, and then back up the other ramp onto the freeway again! And all the other exits off the freeway that I was planning to take were clogged up with other cars trying to take alternate routes! Turned out what happened was, two cars crashed around 6:30ish in the morning, and right before you drive up the ramp to get onto the freeway. One of the drivers died in the hospital, and the the police had everything blocked off to inspect the scene.
What a horrible way to start off the morning, you know? And we'd hoped there were no fatalities.
Otherwise, the rest of week, barring any road accidents (and it's amazing how many I've seen in just the past few months), is clear of appointments and meetings and so on. *LAST week was full of drama, though; my daughter's school admin decided to fire their principal and TOLD THE KIDS FIRST before letting us parents know. During AP testing week! They are such idiots! That drama is still ongoing. All of the seniors and juniors and some of the sophmores and fewer of the freshman are protesting by not showing up at school last Thursday, Friday and this Monday. If the kids don't show up, the school doesn't get their attendance money.
Yeah. LA schools are messed up.
I hope I have a boring week this week.
