Monday Check In...

We are still looking for a house. I am going today to complete all the HR paperwork for my new job which is exciting. Also need to think about packing the house up sometime soon.....I can't believe I haven't started.
 
Mon - Swimming lessons
Tue - Swimming lessons, doctor appointments
Wed - Swimming lessons and Tylee has a friend spending the night
Thur - Tylee's 7th birthday
Fri - Heading out of town to meet up with a friend
Sat - Heading out of town for Storybook Land Festival and daughter's b-day party.. staying the night at hotel
Sun - Home and then sitting!
 
Busy week!

The boys have swim/tennis camp all week from 1-6, Brian and I are headed to The Homestead in VA for a few days later this week for his corporate retreat and I am so excited! It's the only alone time we ever all year and it's just heaven there. We get back on Saturday and then have to pack up for our trip up North with the kiddos.
 
Really not a lot going on this week....and after a really hectic weekend I'm glad for it. Only thing planned is a trip to the library, but that's typically a twice a week occurrence anyway. Hoping to get some TLP challenges scrapped...I've been a major slacker this month.
 
Not much going on this week. It's our 'off' week with my stepson and it's supposed to be in the triple digits with the heat index, so we won't be outside, that's for sure! Grocery store, library, just the usual things... My mom came down this weekend to visit, so I have zoo pictures to scrap. :)
 
I really need to get all the purging done in my home and get it all taken away to Salvation Army. I've got a pile in the garage waiting to be boxed up, but I really need to do more. The amount of stuff I have drives me nutty! I think there are a few things to put on Craigs List too, so hopefully I'll get those ready and listed.

Other than that, just some errands to take care of. My dh's Kindle broke while he was in Alaska, so I'm waiting for them to send me a new one, gotta get him a new iPhone, and some other things to send up in a care package. I think I'm going to take his car in and see if they can put a new XM/radio maybe with bluetooth if that's available. I want to surprise him when he comes home and have it all done. I work this weekend...

and that's about all. I'm just enjoying my few weeks off and relaxing!
 
We have swim lessons every day and maybe a couple of playdates, but mostly just the same ol' stuff! :)

Oh, and tonight Micah and I are headed to see Harry Potter, so that is my exciting event!

I supposedly have a major software release tomorrow (that will consume every waking moment and most sleeping moments as well until the weekend), but it has been postponed about 10 times so far, so who knows.

Never mind...just got word it is postponed again. So now I have a pretty nice week ahead of me. Normal work load (yay - I can scrap in the evenings). And we seem to be having a few more days of summer which is nice because all we've had so far is this weekend (it has rained almost constantly the last month). Hoping to get out and do some biking in the evenings and maybe head to the local pool a few more times. Depends on the mosquitoes though. The city puts out traps to check how bad they are. They went from average of 30 mosquitoes per trap late June, to 539 mosquitoes per trap this past week. Every time we go out, we get swarmed. Mosquitoes are one thing I could really do without. Time to put up a bat condo in the backyard.
 
Just trying to enjoy our last little bits of summer - kids go back to school in just 3 weeks from today! We're having a pool party tomorrow, going bowling Wednesday, hitting a local water park Thursday, and just filling in the holes with more swimming and stuff like it!
 
Wow, that's early Karah - when did school end for your kids?

Our summer vacation goes until Aug 31 which is actually a pretty early start for Alberta. It used to start after the September (Labour Day) long weekend.
 
I need to solve my fridge problem all the things in it are being frozen :-( and need a new screen for my computer too.
We have a rainy week announce in France so will keep time for scrapping
 
My cousins are still here from KY, so they're with us. Husband's back at work, so not much planned for the week. But at least the boys still have someone to hang with. :) We're just gonna hit the library, and maybe, if this oppressive heat lets up a bit, the park. :)

The boys have swim practice through Wednesday, plus a private lesson on Tuesday. The last swim meet of the season (Summer Champs) is this weekend, then we are FREE until labor day (that's when swimming starts back up again).

I have just regular ole work this week...nothing big or special going on (thank goodness!).
 
we have a bunch of little things going on - playdates a few days this week, my oldest has afternoon camp every day, track practice on wednesday, some out-of-town guests arriving on wednesday and a trip friday morning to chicago for a family reunion on saturday ...
 
Possibly going bowling tonight.. Having/making dinner with/for a friend on Wednesday night.. Possibly making a fruit tart for a bbq on Friday night.. and then heading to Vegas for the weekend!
 
Kids back at school today after winter break, which is always mixed emotions. So I will be getting back into routine this week.
