Sigh... after two kids I have faced the harsh facts that I can no longer wear "normal" jeans. We are talking major muffin top. :groan

So, does anyone have any recommendations on jeans I can wear that will go high enough to avoid the fleshy spill over, but not make me look like a 1980's mom? :helpy

Oh and please dont tell me to start working out. LMBO!

lol! I've found that wearing low rise jeans help... but I don't find them the most comfortable. I also mid that a mid rise "fashionable" jean works too... good luck finding a great pair... I'm on a never ending search for jeans, pants or anything of the sort that will fit me properly. I'm only 5 feet tall.... *sigh*

sorry I can't help...i have a full cake top and a bit so nothing looks good on me!

I'm an Oprah-feen! Seriously I watch her show all the time and a couple of months ago she had a show on jeans for women. I had been wearing low-rise, boot-cut jeans but the ol' muffin top just seemed to appear out of nowhere! I bought a pair of the Lee jeans and OMG!!! They seriously make me look slimmer, hide the tummy, and I don't have to wear a belt. My hubby loves when I wear them too. :D
Penney's has them here.

I wear low-ish rise jeans which works best for me on the muffin top but I get so fed up with having to haul the darn things up!

So I'm gonna work out ...

I like the Levis 512s. They are high enough in the rise that if I am sitting on the floor with my son in music class I am not worried about showing my underwear! I have a darker color pair than this one, in indigo.

I'm on the tallish side at 5'10" so I always have to look for jeans that are available in talls. I found that I really like the Ann Taylor Loft and Gap boyfriend fit jeans. Besides that, I just rock my muffin top! :giggle

I got regular boot cut from old navy and it's comfortable. I know it's hard to find the perfect fit. Mid rise and low rise don't work for me.

Oooh thanks girls! I am going to try a pair of those Lee Slender Secrets first!

Rock the muffin top...lol... that cracked me up!

I might have to try on a pair of the Lees. My issue is like Renee, I am fairly short and very short waisted and so I have to have something of a lower rise or else it looks like the ladies are just sitting on my waist, which obviously, I am not a fan of. and the lower rise helps even out my proportions by making it look like I have a longer waist.

Glad I saw your post Amy! I am definitely going to try out those Lee jeans too. I'm totally understanding your pain. After my last baby & c-section things don't sit quite as flat and purdy as they used to! heehee

at least reading this thread were all in the same boat ie no flat tummy after having children, you all made me feel loads better anyway

whenever i see some uber skinny, flat bellied woman my first thought is always "yeah, yeah have a kid or two and go eat a cheeseburger!" :rofl

OK, now I'm jealous, Lee jeans are like $150 over here. I need to move to America. Or at least have a major shopping holiday over there!

I was finally able to find a pair of Levi's that fit me, but it's soooooooo hard. :( My mom loves the Lee's. I think that I will try those sometime too.

i was also going to suggest low-rise. i think they help hide the muffin top. well actually they just embrace it. :D
