hey!! I made it thru all 31 challenges last year and was able to complete the monthly 7 challenges too, and I want ALL of you that start to finish also!
I have a few fun helpful hints to help you, and I know there are many others that are "alumni"that may have hints too...

One of the greatest parts of last year, was (and I believe still is) the other scrappers! The support to get it done and encourage really helped, and the friendships forged were beyond! I know that you will love that part so much!
Leaving love and recieving love in the gallery and in each daily thread...oh it is just the cat's meow.

Tonight I am beginning the Prep work for the Month.
I want to finish as much of 2013 that I can.
I am also working on a december only book and finishing my week in the life (just have Sunday) lol

I have 3x5 cards from July to present of uploaded photos. I like a hard copy to browse thru

Tonight I am updating my lists, I am in October, and need to bring it up to date with the holiday pics!
I am going to set it up so I can at a glance know where and what I have to scrap.
Once I scrap the memory, I cross it off with a highlighter.

I also have my Lily Pad folder set up. I have each designer all cozy in there waiting to be opened!

The store was my friend and searching for something was crazy, but this year we have the Personal Shopper, and Dalis is a mad crazy awesome finder of things...so that helps a ton! :heartlub

Don't worry if you don't finish the page that day, let it simmer on the back burner but don't forget to
SAVE!!!!

Last year, every page was one I loved and it helped me finish my 2012 book!

Can't wait to hear your helpful hints and new peeps, you will love love it!

I started on the 7th, I think, last year and I still managed to do the whole month, but I definitely recommend not getting too far behind! My biggest tip, you already covered! Make a list of what you want to scrap that will save time when you read the prompt!

I am so excited!! This gave me a creativity bump that carried me all the way through the summer last year!

Your note cards look a lot like my spreadsheet, Anne! That means I'm off to a good start!

I have a folder named 'Photos to scrap' & there are hundreds there. But I think having a list will be helpful! I'll definitely have to do this tonight!

I have a quick question! How many percentage of the page have to be TLP products?

I thought it was 75% for this contest...but all that will be in the big rules and regulations coming in a few short days

I am going to try and work on my Document Your December album. I was going to try and keep up this month, but it was super busy with lots of activities and family time, so putting it off worked better for me to have a stress free holiday. :)

I am so excited!!

So the challenge is to just finish 31 pages? Will they be doing theme challenges like they do for the regular month challenges? I'm nervous & excited!!!

Some were themed, some using techniques, colors, journal prompts, there were also templates. Lots of variety and lots of inspiration. It was so much fun. You'll love it!!

oh there are are challenges EACH and EVERY day! that is my favorite, hitting refresh again and again, waiting for the challenge of the day!

Thanks Laura! 75% is def doable for me. I've been slowly building my TLP stash (can't believe I lost sight on TLP before!) with quite a limited budget. Can't wait to play but I'm also nervous at the same time.

The guideline is the same as for the regular monthly challenges - it's 75% TLP product. Looking forward to seeing you play along! :)

Just go with the flow and DO NOT BE AFRAID to get out of your comfort zone... the challenges give you an opportunity to push yourself in a fun and new direction.. I look back on last January and there were some things I was "nervous" about.. Art Journaling being one of them, and guess what, I found I loved it!! Now I am a constant doing the monthly AJ forum. There was a lot of things I never thought to do and where to get inspiration from. You will be amazed at the inspiration you get, the excitement and all and I can remember when it was all done in February, we all were "crying" as we had so much fun daily doing the challenges and when it was over with something felt like it was missing!!

You meet a lot of new people on the journey and it really is a blast! Anne gave a lot of helpful suggestions. :) Looking forward to it!!

One helpful hint is not to wait until you get backed up... we all do a page a day in general so it is not something to worry about. Have fun and explore and enjoy the journey... get to know yourself and do not limit yourself :) I am really excited!!!

My advice is have fun.

I know when I get stressed or anxious about pages it shows through. And then I end up tossing them.

So relax. Enjoy.

And don't be afraid to try a new technique or style.

I did a page last year that was unlike anything I would normally do. I think it was the movie poster inspiration. I stuck it on a wall. It was so beyond my comfort zone but I was proud of myself and pleased with the result.
I'm sure I left that one a few times to come back to.

Also don't be afraid to ask questions! There are so many people with so much experience. I don't think a question has ever gone unanswered.

I can't wait to have a go at this!! I am a real "go with the flow" kind of person--so I don't think I will have a list of things I want to scrap--but might look for some kind of "31" list--so that I have a word or concept to jumpstart the challenge for the day--might have a coordinating photo and might just be my thoughts for the day--there I guess I just made myself a plan--let the fun begin!!

I just updated my list with ideas for pages from Christmas. I'm up to 142 ideas. I'm going to need a few MOCs!!!!

oh, I'm SO nervous too. I'm not sure what I'm worried about tho... nothing specific.

I'll have to start organizing my photos at least ;)

Oh don't be nervous! Have fun, relax and let the inspiration take you with the diversity of challenges that are going to be on offer!
