I have seriously lost my umph to scrap ... I am not sure why, except I don't have many "new" photos to scrap! LOL. I have oodles of pictures to use, but just am not in the mood.

Do you ever go through stages of not being interested? I know for sure this is short term ... and hope I turn the corner quickly!!

I am tired of Christmas scrapping. So I went to the river to take pics of the snow and river on one of our first sunny days. I also scrapped something more recent than Christmas. But my mojo is waning for sure. And I need some ideas of things to take pictures of. I can't go see my grand-kitties because the snow berms and roads are so bad I can park near his house. There isn't a lot going on in town to take pics of. I'm getting the blues from no new photos.

Yes, that happens sometimes. Usually around this time of year when I'm Christmas-ed out but there's nothing else really going on, either, and the weather is gross.

When that happens, I do a lot of gallery surfing, watch a lot of scrapping Youtube videos, go through my photos and pick out ones I want to scrap & match them up with kits I haven't used yet, and/or brainstorm ideas for photoless/story pages until I feel like scrapping again.

With the exception of MOC, January and February are very slow scrapping months for me, too. I don't go anywhere that requires me to take pictures. It's too cold to go for our weekend hikes. Luckily, my daughters will send me pictures to scrap, or that crazy squirrel will beg me to take his picture.

Yuck, can you see my hand held up high too.
I feel like I am missing out with sleeping through the mojo chatting scrap.
The heat, the end of MOC, all the Feb challenges done and still I sit here and whine and whinge.

Yes, most times, I do what I call a blog hop. I will pick a favorite paper scrapper and see what they are creating and look on their side bar and jump onto someone's else's blog to see what they are doing. Alot of times it does help, seeing a layout that totally inspired you to create your self!

My mojo sometimes goes with the weather, lol! If it's sunny and warm, mentally, I want to be outside, but then a part still wants to scrap and be creative. I seem to scrap less in the summer since we are more out and about. I love rain and winter, it means more scrappy time! :giggle

For me to scrap again... I randomly start a page, and then look for pictures after. Or, take a peek at the challenges.

I just went through this right before (and as) MOC was starting ... I think it may have been due to coming off the holiday slump. I just grabbed some kits (a mix of new stuff and some older stuff from my stash) from a favorite designer and played ... using her stuff brought me out of that scrapping slump ... and I went on to start and finish MOC!

I think the key for me ... because so much of what I scrap can be for CT work, getting to just pick what I want and have the opportunity to just play every once in awhile can be refreshing. :)

And there's the flip side ... sometimes with life being so busy ... I feel like I'd never scrap if I didn't have the CT push! :giggle

This happens to me when I try to complete an album, especially one that I try to make all the pages look alike. I get in a rut, but I can scrap fast that way. This means there really isn't much creativity, but I get pages done. MOC helped with that, but now I'm back trying to finish these albums. I do think I'll have to start cruising the galleries for inspiration again just to get out of my rut.

Absolutely!! After MOC I didn't turn on my program for almost a week, and then only because I had CT work to do. I completely burnt myself out and needed the break though. I'm just coming out of it now so I feel human again. I also pretty much finished 2 albums I was working on, one for my littlest grandson which was such a fun one to do that most of what's left pales in comparison I'm afraid. My other 3 grands are tweens and teens, so you KNOW there's not much in the photo dept. with them anymore lol. At least not ones without scowls or silly faces.

I find that Feb is my slowest time of the year to scrap. It's my quiet time after all the flurry of activity of Xmas, New Years and then MOC. So I watch more TV, read more books and take a bit of a break. I still scrap but not at the same pace as the previous couple of months. I think that's a good thing. It gives you time to regenerate, to do a few other things and then come back at it full force and feel enthused and excited. I bet you won't be taking a break for long :)

I'm much more of an event scrapper, so this time of year there's not much going on. I'm still working on last year's album, so that keeps me busy, but it's only in spurts. I enjoy the down time, browse the shops and galleries, and focus on other things. The mojo eventually comes back.

Oh, I am glad I'm not the only one. I thought I was odd as many of you said they'd get all enthusiastic over MOC and that the fire would continue to burn. In fact, with me, it didn't. It doesn't help that February, like you all say, is a slow month with not much going on. No outdoor activities, no photos... I have a few more vacation photos so that will tide me over and there is still AJ, but nevertheless, my mojo hasn't been showing for a while now.

OK!! Who stole everyone's MOJO??? I want mine back, please!!! The only thing that keeps me going are the challenges. If I didn't have those, I don't think I would scrap at all during this time of the year. Totally understand where you are all coming from.
