I found a 2-part video lesson by Tamara Laporte (of Lifebook fame) on YouTube. She starts out talking about processing your feelings through art journaling/mixed media.

It is super long for both parts, but it is interesting to see the different techniques she uses. And if you translate it into digital, it is WAY easier. :) Just lots of layers.

But you could definitely do this on your own in a journal, or hybrid it with M3 products, you could have something pretty amazing.

I'm watching it in the background. She's awfully long-winded but I think I like where it's going. Already got some ideas to try :) Thanks for sharing!

Oooh... I'm emailing this to myself so I'll remember to watch tonight! :)

Yeah... I put it on 2x speed and mostly just watched. :giggle I didn't even start the second video yet. I'm really horrible at having the attention span to watch videos. I've signed up for Lifebook the past few years because of all of the amazing instructors, but never end up doing the projects because I don't sit through the videos each week. My desktop computer has two monitors (which helps to have it on in the background) but the computer isn't really working at the moment so I have a little laptop and no patience.

I'm glad you got some ideas. :)

I thought it was great for people who haven't really dabbled in the physical mixed media stuff before to get an idea of what goes into the layering. And that can help with digital as well. For example, I had never really thought about digitally adding my own handwritten words as a background layer, but I might have to try it now.
