To me, Mixed Media is not complete without considering illustration. Granted, as digital artists, we may not do much in the way of illustration, but the designers may be creating with illustration. And you can also use illustrations in your mixed media projects (those you create yourself, or illustrations created by others).
One artist I love is Andrea D'Aquino. I recently saw an article (at Brianpickings.org) about her "illustrating" Alice in Wonderland. Not only does she use traditional illustration, but she also adds collage and other mixed media. So she's really inspirational to me.
Here are a couple of examples of her work from the book, and others can be found in the article.
What about you? Do you have illustrators or a style of illustration you love? Do you ever include illustration in your mixed media work? Could you see yourself using some other TLP products to mix in with the M3?
