I feel like in life “messy” gets a bad rep, but not all messes are bad. So, let’s talk about the good messes today!

What is something that you like messy?
Or what is something messy that you enjoy?

One from me: I like a messy bed because I can climb into it any time and not mess anything up.

Your turn!

YES to messy art! That's my very favorite kind! @Angela Toucan

Along the same lines, I love a messy journal, like my christmas junk journal and messy stitching. I'm obsessed with "granny crafts" like embroidery right now and follow a few stitching artists that are just the best kind of messy!

I am taking a huge ruffle off a dress for a friend. I’m covered with thread from taking the ruffle off presently.
It is a very slow (almost 3 hours) to remove, but it very peaceful to me. It a mess currently!
But in a few hours I will rejoin with a nice lace, use the ruffle to make a little dress for her daughter and that makes me happy!

But! Yikes! I have to make my bed everyday, tight. You got me twitching on getting into a messy bed!!!

I've been cross stitching for awhile and read a sub-reddit about the subject. People on there are obsessed with having "clean" backs with their stitching. Not me! After finishing a project, nobody sees the back. As long as the front looks good I'm good with it. And, I can't believe how many have a problem with seeing the fabric thru the cross stitches... IMO that is the point of it being cross stitch. If you don't want to see the fabric, maybe another needle craft is more to your liking.

I grew up doing needlepoint(cross stitch) taught by my mom. So many tears pulling out stitches to get back clean.
I teach young girls it now and tell them about my tears. A couple actually asked if I would teach them clean back method also. Lol
I do but insist no tears, or I will cry with them.

I prefer food mixed up on my plate rather than separated into different piles. And I eat with my fingers sometimes and lick them! :D Not in restaurants or other people's houses though. :giggle

@HavaDrPepper I'm with you on the cross stitching. I've done a lot of it (since my aunt taught me when I was 11) and I've never worried about how the back looks.

Yay for messy eating!

Just like Jan @IntenseMagic, I love spending the day outside working in the garden! At the end of the day, messy hands from digging in the dirt all day is a good thing! That's exactly what I am planning on doing tomorrow...spending the day weeding the gardens around my house before the rain comes Saturday!

I should be weeding today but I just don’t wanna lol one thing I can’t do is dirt in my fingernails so I always wear gloves to minimize that.
