so cute story..

It's bebe kitteh season at the shelter.. we got four 1 day old kittens (and their mom) wednesday + another 4-5week old one. They're so so sweet.... I feel jipped.. I had a kitten once and it was demonic ^__^ i sat for 30 minutes wednesday holding the 4-5week old.. it just snuggled up and slept on me till another cat (around 9months-1yr) decided she was his mommy and snuggled up on me too. It was the sweetest thing ever.

this is not any of the kitties at the shelter ... but he was obv cute so i wanted to add him to my post :p

I am so in the kitty mood right now. Bah. Instead, we are stuck with my DD's demon seed cat (Piper). She is eleven and she sheds everywhere. Big black clumps of icky fur. She also wants to sleep on me all of the time and she has to be on my hip or shoulder, which is awkward. But she will randomly (without warning) attack. So it isn't at all pleasant. :p She totally spazzed out and bit my hand the other night because I dared to move it. Bah. I want a nice kitteh like the one in the pic. Super sweet. You're lucky to get to play with sweetness.

Aww.... so cute! I just love kittens. Too bad they grow up! Actually I've had tons of cats in my life. We had a barn growing up and always had cats and they were always SO nice. Then when my hubby and i were dating he rescued a stray kitten and brought it to my house. So cute... for like 5 days. Then, she turned EVIL! She was the meanest cat ever! She'd bit anyone just for getting closer to her... and don't even think about petting her. She had to be put down about two years ago and I don't think I'll ever get a cat again after her.

Awww...do you work at a shelter? My bf and I volunteer for the SPCA and last weekend when we were in there walking dogs, one of the girls there asked us if we wanted to see something cute. In the back office they had a mama cat with one tiny kitten. It's eyes had probably only been open for a day or two....so cute!! Our cats Seamus and Rosie are from a litter of 7. We fostered them, their mama and then another abandononed kitten that their mama "fostered" from when the kittens were 2 days old. It was an awesome experience!

My sister has some kittens right now... the mom keeps putting them in the dryer. I told her to put a sign on it so they don't accidentally turn it on, lol. She said she took them out 5 times. I said "why didn't you close the door?"... she said "oh, I didn't think of that"... lol... my YOUNGer sister. ha ha

Aw....how cute! No kitties here as we are not a cat family but he is adorable.

I shaved "my" kitty last week (or had her shaved) into a lion cut...she always gets matted during her shedding season no matter how much I brush her. It makes her a little more snuggly, and she's been cuddling up to me non stop since I did it...sleeping up on my chest, super big purdles (that's purring in our family).

I couldn't work at a cat shelter. I'd seriously want to take them all home, and I'm afraid we'd be these crazy cat people where the cats take over our home.

That pic is way too cute...

I love kitties. My oldest is severely allergic. :( So we have dogs.

They are awesome, but since I grew up with kitties, every time I see a kitty I miss them terribly!

My friend is one of those. She had two cats before she met her hubby. He had three. They got married, and now I think they have 7 after losing one recently. They have the funniest stories because the cats they had prior to marriage cannot get along, so they have shifts of rotating cats upstairs and downstairs. :giggle One of the not-so-funny stories was they had to have their entire first floor carpet taken out just a few months after it was installed because of the kitty tension and peeing everywhere. Now they have gorgeous hardwood, the rotation/shifts, a couple are on anxiety meds, and now things are under control.

At one point, our house had become a haven for strays. There was a stray momma who had three separate batches of kitties and would bring them and drop them at our house. At one point, we were taking care of 11 cats. Slowly but surely, we caught them and had them all fixed and then found homes for them. There is only one left from the first batch of kittens. She is totally feral, but has been living with us for 8 years. She is a beautiful tuxedo kitty and she loves our Giacomo (our big mostly-outdoor kitty). They snuggle up together in a chair on the porch, but she won't let us touch her. Sometimes, when Giacomo is inside, you can hear Hannah outside, meowing for him and trying to get him to come out. So cute.

Oh it makes me sad to think about how many cats are in shelters. Every time I've gone to look at dogs there are always just so many more cats. A friend of mine is really dedicated to rescuing cats and finding them good homes. She also traps feral cats and has them neutered. She's like the Rambo of crazy cat ladies!

I am terribly allergic to them so I'm not the biggest fan of cats, but I really wanted a kitten when I was a little girl because my best friend had one. They are pretty cute! :)
