Yep, I played hookie yesterday from work and called in a Mental Health Day! My boss thinks I'm nutz but I told him that if I came into work that I couldn't promise I wouldn't go 'OFF' on someone so I thought it best that I get my head right before coming back in.

I came in this morning and he's still laughing! :D

Ever taken one?!?!?

I WISH! My company downsized so much that I'm the only in some days. If I'm not here, NOTHING office related gets done.

I even have to do payroll when I'm on vacation!
 
At my last job our boss encouraged us to take mental health days. I've taken a few.
 
My company encourages us to put in free overtime when we have project deadlines. I think they would drop dead if we took a mental health day (what' mental health again?)...

LOL!! I work at home so it wouldn't really work out too well for me to do that. :D
 
I SHOULD have taken a mental health day yesterday, because the day just started out wrong and got worse. Today is better. I've taken vacation days just to hang out at home and craft. But it's mainly because I have a lot of vacation days from working here such a long time, and if I don't take them I lose them. Love mental health days, and "crafterdays", LOL!
 
I think that's awesome that you told your boss! I stayed home Monday because I wasn't feeling well. ;)
 
LOL I'm glad your boss is laughing! When I worked I don't know if some of my bosses would have had that reaction. I think I pretty much just sucked it up and went in anyway, although I'm sure there are a few days when taking off would have been wiser. :p
