watch out...I'm heading your way.

The hard decision has been made and my little family will be moving home to Arkansas for the foreseeable future. I'm sad to leave our friends here, but it's been a rough road, and we're ready to accept some help from the wonderful people I call my family and hopefully move on to more positive things. I actually feel a little better now that there's a plan since we've been in limbo for the past few months (hoping DH's part time job would pan out). There have been a few tears, but honestly I think this is the best thing we can do for right now.

Awwww, Sarah, wishing you and your family all the best. I hope good things are on the horizon for you and your family.

I'm still so sad that I didn't get to meet you before you had to move so far away. I'm so glad that you have a supportive family to help you out though. :)

I've been so blessed to have met you and call you friend... you will be greatly missed every month, and continued prayers for better things ahead :wub

ditto, what the ladies said... and Mel and Trish... take really good care of her, ok?

I'm glad you have family to lean on. I'll be back in Arkansas at the end of the year, so you can look forward to hanging out with me then. ; ) Where will you be?

I'll be in the Jonesboro area. Yaay for another person to hang out with! You're from central AR right?

Sometimes just making a decision is such a relief, & can open your eyes to hope. I'm sorry you're sad, but I'm glad you are moving forward! Best of luck!!!

I'm getting kind of frustrated with Google maps... I know where I actually am is closer to Jonesboro than Memphis is, but the map is saying it takes even longer because you have to drive down to Memphis, cross at the bridge then drive back north to where I am. Surely that can't be right...

Though. Memphis would be a much more interesting place to meet than my little backwoods town. lol

Good luck Sarah. Wishing you and your family everything of the best.:beat

Hopefully this experience will let you reconnect some with family while opening the window to your better future, Sarah!

Hope it turns out to be the best decision ever! Life has a funny way of working out like that.

Change can be so tough, but I hope things will all work out for the best. Wishing you the best of luck with your big move!

Good luck with the move Sarah. I will keep my fingers crossed that things will take a positive turn from there!!! Wishing you all the best!

Thanks everyone for your well wishes...I'm super scared to say the least. We started packing today...so I guess that means it's real...lol.

Sorry I'm late checking in Sarah. This week has totally busted my butt with work and trying to get everything done before our Spring Break next week.

I'm in Cabot, AR which is about 2 hours from Jonesboro. I graduated from ASU (Arkansas State Univ) and had to make the drive every couple of months. It's beautiful up there and with the college there, it seems like there's jobs popping up around there. I hope the very best for you and your family as you make the move.

{Hugs}

Ha, but its true Trish! The I-40 bridge is the only way across the Mississippi unless you go up to Dyersburg! I know.....we go to Middleton, TN all the time. And the traffic is horrific!

Sarah, I hope this turns out to be a great move for your family! I totally agree with Angie that sometimes life has a way of putting you where you are supposed to be, even though it might not feel like it at the time. Sending you hugs and good luck with all of the packing. :grouphug

I grew up in Jonesboro and went to ASU as well. We've been wanting to move back...but I wish the circumstances were better (i.e. with DH having a job lined up). Fingers crossed that us being there and not having to relocate helps him in the long run (he does have an application in at one of the hospital's there). His current boss also asked him if he'd be willing to come back if they get enough clients for him to go full time, so who knows, we might end up back here before it's all said and done. DH is pretty much applying anywhere in the country that there's a full time position as well, but there's still just not that much out there in his line of work. Really I just want to be somewhere and stay for a long long time..this moving every couple of years really sucks.
