what a way to start my day:
I was coming to do something else (07:19 am for us here) but the gallery called me with such strength with some AWESOME pages, I have to come share, this awesomeness for the scraplift challenge from @angiekey
and this absolute awesome piece of art from Li Li, an ode to simplicity and delight...and she made the card (as in painting/drawing!) @misslovescraps
and then this super fub, cute , beautiful, amazing page by one of my most loved people @bcnatty
I wanted to share this one, I was doing my comb through, looking for layouts that had 0, so I wasn't actually looking AT the layouts, but rather the comment number and just right clicking and opening in new tab until I got quite a few built up. Then I started going through and commenting on each, closing the tab and moving on to the next.
This one pulled up and for a few moments I just stared and then smiled. It was inspiring, created stories in my head about who this woman was and what she was going to do when I stopped looking at her. Would she fly off and start her own story? Or would she slump a little, sad that I didn't give her a hug and stay longer? So I figured I'd make sure she got plenty of visitors so she didn't get lonely in case she stays.
i have a couple from this morning in the gallery -
i know i used to be a bit bamboozled by ephemera and incorporating it into 'traditional' looking scrapbook pages - this one uses ephemera and pretty paper layers so well @bbymks5
with locations and photos this stunning you need to keep it big and her additional elements & textures only enhance the scenes - beautiful work by @Rosemarythyme
This is just a gorgeous art piece by @Melhope1230 .. it spoke to me in more ways than one... the blending is incredible and with my Mom having been a bird watcher and past president of our local Audobon chapter when I lived on Long Island, this laout jumped out and spoke to me.. the composition colors blends and the gorgeous photo of the hawk... wow!
You gotta see the amazing custom shadow work @Isa Marks has done on this one. I think she did a gradient overlay to make the stitched paper strips look curled. I absolutely love it!
