March: The Scorpio Races **Discussion and Spoilers**

Has anyone else finished this yet?
I actually read it mid-February and it was definitely one of my favorite books that I have read recently.
I don't really think of myself as loving mythology type books, but this one really captured me from the beginning. And I am sad that it is a stand alone book, I am such a fan of book series and I would definitely keep reading this series.

I wanted this to be a series too!! I didn't love her Wolves of Mercy Falls series...but a lot of people did so maybe you could give that a go?

I LOOOOOOVED this book! I thought it was really really beautifully written. I felt like I was riding the horses and could feel them. It seems like every time something happened I could visualize it so clearly. I LOVE when a book makes me feel like that! I really liked (most of) the characters too. I thought they were interesting and different and I was so glad the female lead wasn't whiney and annoying like in most books now-a-days! I HATE when a girl just mopes around constantly! LOL!

The plot of this book was sooo different from a lot of current books and so I think that is part of why I loved it. It was original and unique and really well written so all in all I loved it! definitely one of my faves that I have read in a while!

oooh - i cannot wait to read this! i'm on book two of a series right now, but it's going quickly - so hopefully i can start this in a few days :)

I loved, loved, loved this book. Thought it was so unique and beautifully written. I, too, wish that it were a series.

I've been reading her wolves series (just started the third one last night) and they are just nothing compared to The Scorpio Races.

I SOOOOOOO agree! I didn't love the wolves of mercy falls either...especially not compared to this!

i've been in such a reading funk! may have to pick this one up today! good price i see too!

I really need a book that i just can't put down...is this the one? lol

My husband surprised me with the new iPad this past weekend. I chose this as my 1st e-book to read. I loved it! It was very beautiful and different.

I just finished listening to the audio-book and it was awesome!!! I really enjoyed the story!!

I read this a week or two ago and forgot to come in here to comment. Add me to the list that loved this book. In fact I can't stop thinking about it and I SO wish there was another one to read after this one. I love the characters and the crazy island and just the feel of entering their world in this book.

I was going to read her wolves series after reading this, but I think I won't now if they aren't as good.

I'm currently reading this book. . . more than half way done~

I was a bit confused at the beginning on how they were able to actually catch the capall uisce and train with them. There seems to be some "rules" around how to maintain these horses, but they all seem to fly out the window if the horse decides it's hungry or wants the ocean. I'm not familiar with this myth at all. . . but it has me intrigued and I'm really enjoying the characters in this book!

Just finished the book and LOVED it~ Would love to see the story continue, but for those of us that like it to end happily, Maggie Stiefvater, wraps this book up into a nice, tidy package. And, I felt like she gave us just enough of a romance between Puck and Sean. . . simple, and believable.
