Today is Make A Gift Day!
Make-a-Gift-Day-TN.jpg

Are you working on those handmade Christmas gifts?
Anyone doing any crafting at all today?
I was hoping to work on a couple of things, but haven't felt the best, so I'm mostly couching it today lol
I really need to think of an idea for my co-workers, so if anyone has any neat ideas.....

I’m couching it today too Jan. Church and church meetings wore me out. Hopefully I remember to mail Christmas cards tomorrow. We don’t even have our Christmas tree up yet!

I crafted this past week and made a banner out of crocheted and starched snowflakes and crystals, sewn together and then tied with ribbons. Both items were collected for me by my SIL. I've had them for 3 years now, since her passing. I'm not decorating at our home this year because our upcoming move, so I knew when I was putting it together it would be at Mama's house. I'm there most of the time anyway in caregiver status, so while it was a gift to my Mama, we are all enjoying it.

I'm not planning on making any other crafty gifts this year. I thought I might be able to do some watercolor flowers for my cousins that have been helping with my mother, but I just don't know if I'll be able to do it. Somehow when I'm staying with Mama, I'm up and down, up and down, up and down, and my back is very tired. It would be frustrating to try to paint in the midst of that. And when I come home, I'm so tired and just taking care of the bare minimum, that I don't plan on doing anything incredible with crafts.

We always have Cookie Day a few days before Christmas, but we'll see how Mama is. One of my cousins is coming into down on Dec 10/11 and we're supposed to make at least one kind of cookie but multiple batches.

This is lovely Cheryl!!

A recent injury (on the mend) has reduced my crafting this Christmas, I'm currently doing some Christmas cards. I'm not sure I'll be making gifts of my own this year, but will be supervising and/or advising the toucanettes with theirs. I made chutney during the autumn, some of that will be put in small jars to be gifted.

Keeping you and your mom in my thoughts and prayers!
Cookie Day sounds wonderful :)

Glad you are on the mend!! I'm sure the toucanettes will create some wonderful things!

I'm making an embroidered kitchen towel for my mom. Will be sharing it on here soon. :)
Ooooh I cannot wait to see!!

I've been crocheting like crazy since October. Lol. I made all new stockings for my family, plus two for some friends of mine. Then I just finished making some hats for my kids and I'm slowly plugging away on a blanket for my hubby. I love that I can crochet while watching TV with my hubby.

Just finished my tea towel project! If you are interested, you can find out more about how I made it (from TLP designs!) in this thread. This was super fun to make and it's going to be a gift for my mom for Christmas.

Thinking of you and your mom, my dear friend. Sending prayers.
