There have been about 3 tornadoes touching down in Dallas. My husband (in Plano) is in the building's shelter.

watching streaming video... they had an amazing (and scary) video just a few minutes ago of what had to be a tornado touchdown.

I am also listening to an app called 5-0 radio on my iPhone to hear the police chatter in Plano/Frisco...

holy moly... I hope everyone is okay. If you are from Dallas, you should check in when you can!
 
Christine... a friend of ours lives there too, she said they are okay so far.
My best friend is in Dallas right now, she says there is more coming.
I'm trying to find a link to the local news coverage.
I'm driving there in TWO days!

I have a bunch of friends in Dallas and have been very worried for them today. The pictures on the weather channel are terrible. I hope all of our TLP Dallas girls are staying safe!
 
I know it was right near Darcy Baldwin, and I'm worried about her! I will be relieved when it's overwith. Scary! :)
 
DHs kids live in the DFW area and we heard from them so that's a relief! Praying for everyone during this time and hoping that we don't get 'em but the weather dudes here are saying that we are not completely out of the woods since most of the storms that hit Dallas come right up the I-30 corridor to Little Rock. No, No, NO!!!!
 
My sister just texted back. The cell phones weren't working before. They were in lockdown at my nephews school, but just got home. Phew!
 
Fortunately, the tornadoes and hail missed our immediate area. Although the storm hit right around school dismissal time, so they put the kids on lockdown here too (which I didn’t know at the time). The communication from the schools was non-existent or too late to be helpful, since I was already out waiting for the bus, and the phone networks were jammed, so it was a somewhat frantic and really long, frustrating afternoon. :p

But we are all home safe now, and it looks like the worst has passed. So far I haven't seen any reports of any serious injuries, and the damage is not as bad as it could have been, so I am very thankful for that!
 
Scary stuff! Glad you were okay Kim! Hopefully everyone else is too!
 
i hope everyone is safe! I have family in Arlington but thankfully they're all OK.. it's madness.

Some of the footage was just scary... I haven't heard of any injuries yet either, that would be great news!

We are getting some weather tonight.

So far everyone I know in the DFW area are ok. Thank God! Scary stuff!! The weather has been so crazy lately!
