Today is Macaroni Day!

I love macaroni...so many different ways! But I'd say my favorite is mac and cheese! Sometimes, when I want just a quickie meal, I'll make macaroni and tomatoes YUM. There are so many great macaroni dishes!!

I used to hate mac and cheese, so much so my mom claimed the reason I went into labor two weeks early with my DD was to avoid having to eat the mac and cheese casserole she’d made for dinner that night.

I’m still not a huge fan of it, but I do sometimes take her recipe (Velveeta cheese, can of tomatoes, milk, butter, and elbow macaroni) substitute stewed tomatoes and add browned ground beef to make cheeseburger mac’n cheese.

Do you like macaroni?? Yes! I love all kinds of pasta, and I especially love macaroni for its childhood nostalgia appeal

Do you have a favorite macaroni dish?? My own homemade mac and cheese -- based on a recipe I found in an old Canadian flour cookbook, but made a little bit fancier (but not too fancy! it's mac and cheese!)

Mom's recipe was the Velveeta and macaroni. She never added anything to it though. In fact, she would make it in a large frying pan and when it got to the creamy state, she would dish out portions for her and me then Dad took over and fried the rest of it for him.

Do I have a favorite macaroni dish? Mac n' Cheese but I do like something like hamburger mac n' cheese as well.

That's too funny about going in to labor to avoid mac and cheese . I do love a good cheeseburger mac'n cheese, but I'm not a fan of velveeta. I think I would love that with maybe a different cheese

I went straight to search for it and found! I'm going to give it a try, it sounds amazing!

There is nothing like a good homemade mac and cheese!!

Reading these responses, I was trying to remember if my mom ever really made mac and cheese, and I'm not sure she ever did lol. I really like a good hamburger mac n' cheese as well!!

I am doing low carb now, so my mac and cheese is cauliflower. But I do enjoy it.

Yummy! I love a good mac-n-cheese! I still like the old plain kraft mac-n-cheese box made with the powdered cheese. Lol. Most of the time we get the velveeta kind with the sauce packet now though because that's what my boys prefer.

Funny story, we went to a fireworks party on Friday night and everybody brought a dish. One person brought mac-n-cheese and everyone was raving about it and asking for the recipe. She sent us a picture of the frozen stouffers box that she had made and then transferred to her own baking dish. Lol!

I do, but only mac and cheese BUT i'm a mac and cheese snob lol, our local coffee shop chain does a really good premium mac and cheese with lovely quality cheese and grill it off with breadcrumbs on the top it's delicious

My son makes a premium/gourmet mac 'n cheese with breadcrumbs on top. I made it once and never again ... too much time and trouble!!! If I'm making mac 'n cheese for a group I tend to buy a Stouffer's frozen one. It's easy and everyone likes it.

Mac and cheese is one of the reasons I struggle with low carb diets. I really need to do it, but I love it so much. Maybe I should try the cauliflower.
