artistically-you-want-to-be-able-to-do-a-lot-of-things-that-can-challenge-you-to-not-just-stay-in-quote-1.jpg

they are both only 8 questions, but I loved the questions!
Test: What's your creative style?
and one more
Quiz! What's Your Artistic Style?(this is a kid site, but cool questions)

kinda funky fun to start off your right now!! I can't wait to see what the results show!

the first one is more traditional fun: showed I was
Creativity is separate from the real world for you. But it’s a magical world in which you like to immerse yourself. When you’re involved in it, you get the wonderful sensation that there are no limits, that anything is possible

the second one, love the answer:

You're a Surrealist!

You certainly don't think inside the box - you might not even know where the box is. Surrealism stresses the weird, the fantastic and the dream world of the subconscious. Your art is wild, wacky and off the wall - just like you!

and you don't have to sign up for either one...they are just fun!

and because my brain is in giggle mode:

Test: Creativity is a release
For you, being creative is about having the power to give form to something you feel, to those deep personal issues that are often raw and disorganised. For these reasons you are usually attracted to art that demands physicality, that allows you to express what’s inside, and that unites spontaneity, strength, freedom, power and movement.

Quiz: You're a Pop Artist!

Pop art depicts objects or scenes fromeveryday life and uses the techniques of commercial art and popular illustration. Your art is hip, trendy and culturally aware - just like you!

Creativity gives you insight
You feel that creativity provides insight into your own being. In fact, it is like therapy for you, enabling you to get to know yourself better. You seem to be looking for a way into the mysteries of the subconscious. It’s not really self-expression you are seeking, but rather the tools of self-expression: discovering what your creation will reveal about yourself. Art helps you reflect on, analyse and expand your personality. You long to be creative, and it’s not just because you need to deal with your emotions. It’s the tension between contradictions, and the need to resolve doubt that drives you to be creative. Painting pictures, decorating rooms, arranging shells in the sand — these are all creative processes that allow your introspection to roam. You can trace your life through the different ways you have exercised your creativity. For you, art is there to make sense of life. You are more attracted to artistic activities that demand reflection, planning and solitude, and the personal discoveries you make often provide answers for others, too. • To find out about how to tap into your creative side, see our feature in the August issue out now.

What do you think?

Hmm not sure about this
You're an Impressionist!

Impressionism is an art style developed in the 19th century, characterized by broken color and soft edges with light and color of primary importance. Above all, impressionist art is pretty, soft and delicate - just like you!

Me: Creativity is a release For you, creativity is first and foremost a form of expression: it creates a special link between the internal and external worlds., etc., etc.

And: You're a Surrealist!

this makes me smile, because I see you as soft and delicate...I know there is a steel in you, but I see you flourish is pretty, soft and delicate!

Creativity is a release
wow that seems pretty spot on! I am gonna take that too...cause I love the release that happens in the process of creating!

Thanks @AnneofAlamo
Maybe there is definitely some of that in me. And the first test is spot on. At least for scrapping.
This was fun

Sorry this somehow got stuck in the quote earlier

CREATIVE STYLE

Creativity is a release
For you, creativity is first and foremost a form of expression: it creates a special link between the internal and external worlds. It allows you to get a grasp of your powerful emotions, by moulding them into a physical form. In fact, the most important thing for you is to be able to release your emotions. You need to be able to touch them or look at them in concrete form, and to do that you have to find a way to make them come alive. This is how your desires and anxieties take shape. Keeping things bottled up creates a tension that can only be resolved once you have expressed how you feel. This means you have to be strong enough not to let yourself get swept away by chaotic impulses; if you turn your creative urges on everyday life — making a picnic, singing to the baby, choosing what to wear — you can express yourself while staying rooted in reality. Creativity is principally cathartic. It relieves a deep need, an almost primal, archaic impulse. For you, being creative is about having the power to give form to something you feel, to those deep personal issues that are often raw and disorganised. For these reasons you are usually attracted to art that demands physicality, that allows you to express what’s inside, and that unites spontaneity, strength, freedom, power and movement.

lol!! so TRUE!!

Creativity enriches you
Creativity is separate from the real world for you. But it’s a magical world in which you like to immerse yourself. When you’re involved in it, you get the wonderful sensation that there are no limits, that anything is possible. What you are really looking for is harmony — you want to feel you are a part of what you create. Planting flowers, writing poetry, embroidery or putting together a photo album, these are all suited to your sort of quiet creativity. You want to fall in love with what you create. You also think of creativity as a part of you in which you can take refuge and feel protected. As the psychoanalyst D Anzieu explained, creativity acts as an ‘encouraging parent — loving, enriching and supportive’. You would love to use your creativity to retreat into a world that is kind and reassuring. For you, being creative means having the chance to become one with what you create, bathe in the glory of it and allow yourself to be taken over by it. This is why you seem more suited to the sort of creativity that calls for gentleness, subtlety, harmony and patience.

I don't know....I agree with the first not so much with the 2nd.

Fun tests:

You communicate through creativity
You think of art as a means of reaching out to others but, at the same time, you use it as a shield to some extent. It’s a way of participating in society, in a community. It’s the way you communicate with others and the way they can communicate with you. Seen in this light, creativity provides the basic materials to build a bridge between you and other people, so you can’t think of it as something that lies outside your relationship with others. You like the attention and good opinion of others. When you show people what you’ve made — a birthday cake, or a piece of music you’ve written — it’s your baby, so you are very sensitive about any criticism. You need to be able to distance yourself from the result, and allow others to enjoy it and feel part of it, without it reflecting on you alone. Your creativity allows you (or would allow you) to feel part of the world. You’ve got an inner exhibitionist and you think that this strengthens your relationships. What you really want is for others to see the good in you. You prefer to get on the stage than stay in the wings analyzing your inner life (although you do that, too). So let the show begin, but make sure your life doesn’t depend on the applause. • To find out about how to tap into your creative side, see our feature in the August issue out now.

Well @crazsquaw we must have picked the same answers. lol

I, too, got communicate through creativity, and I absolutely loved every single thing it said!
Though, I definitely think I could choose others if I were in a different mood. Haha!

And I'm an impressionist :)

I am such a sucker of these tests...but I loved the questions...they seemed a bit out of the box. I found another one (test) I so loved, but...
tee hee
it was a match maker kinda place...lol for lonely artists...

You're a Surrealist!

I am surprised by the Surrealist answer, although I do love Salvador Dali's work, so maybe it is not too far off. I like structure and rules in my creativity. I am more concrete than abstract. My scrapbooking usually starts with templates. My other hobbies of sewing and cross-stitch have structure/a pattern to follow, but yet allow me to be creative with colors, etc. Even my career was a mix of concrete with the abstract - programmer to software consultant - again creativity within structure.

Art journalling fascinates me and I am trying to learn to be more free and creative. Good thing I found lots of you to learn from!

This one is right on.

This one I'm not sure about. LOL. I guess based on the answers I chose, it makes sense, but not as far as my artwork is concerned.

You're Neoclassical!

Neoclassical art was a revival in the 18th and 19th century art, which is characterized by order, symmetry, and simplicity of style. Your art is structured, orderly and neat - just like you!

What a fun exercise...
