MOC day 28: No Place Like Home

We recently went to Australia and were able to visit a couple of our old (and tiny!) homes in Sydney. I remember how I used to carry Daughter-One on my back and on trains across the city at the crack of dawn so she could still stay at the same preschool and I could get to work on the other side of the harbour

MOC Day 29: Where I Stand

It felt a bit mean to farewell M from the apartment and immediately ‘yeet off’ (in her parlance!) to Australia. But I kept reminding myself what I stand for now: live my life for myself not just for others. And it was appropriate that we were in Canberra for first time since living there in the throes of first adjusting (poorly, in retrospect) to parenthood, without any support at all. Such a different way to experience the city (and to enjoy the first swim in a pool since the start of Covid)

MOC Day 31: Coming Home to Me

Nice to focus on the simple things that make me happy, realising I have nothing left to prove and happy to step off the ambition treadmill ;-) and prioritise looking after myself and helping friends and family.
