Love for the "little things"...

This week has been a little nutty, but it has made me think about some of the little things that make us happy... So here is a truly little thing that I love. I am loving groove books right now, so much! Having them show up every month and have pictures for the kids to look at is wonderful. I don't have to feel guilty that I haven't scrapped those pages yet, plus I can pull the pics out to make pl or hybrid pages. BUT - the best bonus for me is that as the kids look at the printed pictures, they tell me things about them and about their own stories behind them. I try to record those stories when I do make the pages and they mean so much more! :heartslub

What made me happy today was kind of silly, but is has been so long since I did it...
We had to go to a party today and I took my time to get ready. I had a m-time moment and felt really shiny when I was ready! :giggle
 
today i bought a bunch of lined pretty notebooks. I have no idea what I am going to write in them but the though of having lots of notes written somewhere by my hand brings me all kinds of Analog joy :)
 
My Kindle makes me happy everyday ... and my ever expanding reading list :D
 
Spent this evening at church so that I can sleep in tomorrow morning and snuggle with my family. That makes me feel happy!
 
we went out to a semi fancy(for us) whole familia to dinner..it was a great time. BUT the bestest part of the night was sitting on the side of the road, watching 1000s of motorcycles go by at 10 miles an hour or less, waving at them and just laughing and pointing at pretty ones, cheering as they waved back. A memory in our minds forever!
 
I started an a journey of drawing… it's something that I have always feared doing as it never turns out pretty or perfect!!
I wanted to quit after the Day 1.. the rest of the ladies in the workshop was absolutely talented and their drawings are freaking BEAUTIFUL!! I felt mine was a kid's drawing compared to them.. Well , thank you Heather G for being there to encourage me… I continued .. it might not be a Picasso kinda thing but it makes me happy… I do it everyday now.. Some might say that it's just drawings but these are the little things that keeps me sane and helps me go through this insane and crazy world!!

I recently joined a happy mail exchange and have discovered my love for doodling and it really makes me happy to receive little art treasures in the mail.
 
Being super organized this weekend. I got some cooking/baking done ahead of time so we have some grab 'n go snacks, breakfasts and lunch stuff ready for the week. I also threw a pork loin, potatoes and carrots in the slow cooker this morning which was perfect as the boy was starving when we got home from his hockey game. We normally eat at 6 but he was ready at 5, lol.
 
My football team is into the Grand Final for the third year in a row. Very happy about that.

And the weather is noticeably warmer today, summer is on it's way!
