I know most of you don't know me from Adam, as I haven't been participating here at the Lilypad for very long, but I just had to share my good news with someone.

I had my knee replacement surgery at the beginning of March. My recovery is going much slower than I had anticipated/hoped. I had this idea I'd get tons of scrapping done. Nadda. Other than participating in Mousescrappers.com marathon, I just haven't been motivated. I'm in a lot of pain, but it's getting better every day. Still haven't given up on the April challenges, now that the taxes are done.

My husband and I had been putting off getting a new fur baby until I got my knee sorted out. This little beauty came available through a friend, and I just had to jump on it. We'll be picking her up from her breeder this weekend. She's twelve weeks old, a long-haired, mini-dachshund. We're so excited! Looking forward to taking thousands of pics and making great doggie pages!

Aw! She's so cute! I love it!

I hope she helps you with your mojo. My mother in law hated the recovery after having her knees replaced too. The recovery from the first made her debate on even doing the second one. I hope you are feeling better soon.

Adorable puppy. I work in a gym where we have a lot of members with knee and hip replacements. Recovery is different for everyone. Just keep doing the exercises you've been told to and trust me, it will get better.

So cute! What a fun thing.
Welcome to the pad and I hope you feel like scrapping soon. Nice thing about the challenges is there is the discount gift certificate after 2. So you maybe not get them all done, but you'll still earn something.
I'm having physical therapy on my knee. It's a long road it seems. Hang in there!

What a cutie! We've had some joint replacements in our family and it just seems like everyone heals differently with them. Every last one has said they would do it again in a heartbeat though after it's all over. I hope it continues to improve every day. Hope you're not chasing after the little one too much ;)

Thanks for the encouragement. I have had to adjust my recovery expectations. I really had no idea it was going to hurt this bad, but I'm trying to keep my eye on the end goal. These drugs I'm taking are really yucky too. I want off of them. I'm hoping this little girl is going to help me a bit with my recovery.

Have to decide on a name. I'm a big Disney fan, so I'm considering Dory or Belle. Son likes Belle, but I've read that is the most common dog name at the moment. Also giving Grace or Gracie some thought. Maybe Penny or Peg? I dunno. I need to meet her, and spend some time with her first, I think.
