Today we get to scrap with the designs of Bella Gypsy! If you didn't know, Bella Gypsy is actually two designers, who are sisters and close friends! Lena Gardner @Lena Gardner and Tabatha Reed @gypsystar work together as Bella Gypsy despite living an hour and a half apart. I love their bold style! These talented women just celebrated the 16th anniversary of Bella Gypsy designs! If you’re not familiar with Bella Gypsy products, check out their store here. I chose to scrap today with Bella Gypsy's Cobbler Crust line: Cobbler Crust Itty Bits, Cobbler Crust Shimmers, and Cobbler Crust Frippery. I love the subtle shimmer to the papers, solids but not plain! Their lush floral elements make my layered style super easy to accomplish. They provide lots of options, and I can vary the blooms rather than just repeating the same flower a bunch of times.
I had the opportunity to interview Lena for today's event! Come learn more about the duo behind Bella Gypsy and how they've been going strong for 16 years!!
So, without further ado... introducing Lena and Tabatha!
Where do you call home?
Central Kentucky
Who makes up your family?
Tabatha has a spouse and 6 kiddos; I (Lena) have a spouse and 2 kiddos at home, plus two dogs, one cat, one lizard. I also have an adult son and daughter in law, with two grand kids! Collectively it's a big brood!
Which came first, scrapbooking or designing?
For Tabatha scrapping was first - in fall of 2005. For me (Lena), designing was first just a few months later - taught by Tabatha!
How long have you been at The Lilypad?
We were at A Cherry on Top, Elemental Scraps, Gotta Pixel, and Scrap Orchard before TLP. We've been at TLP for six years now and designing for 16. Actually, our 16th anniversary was yesterday. <3
Do you think you have a signature style?
Colorful, humorous, clever. Different. And sometimes oddly specific. We make the kits we want to scrap with.
What is your favorite product you've designed?

What occupies your other time?
Since I (Lena) work full time and Tabatha homeschools kiddos, we've had to slow down what we create. Even though we live an hour and a half apart, we talk every day and share a very close bond. Bella Gypsy just wouldn't be the same without both of us. I can't imagine not having someone to bounce every idea off of! We continue to design, just not at the same pace we used to.

Lena - crocheting, knitting, reading, and VR games
