I asked Paula a few questions to get to know her a little better.
Tell us about yourself.
My name is Paula and I live in Brazil – São Paulo.
I’ve been married to Ricardo for 23 years now. I have two girls-Isabella and Gabriella and two dogs-Nero and Stella.
Last December both Ricardo and I got Covid. He was admitted to the hospital and stayed there for 15 days until Dec 31st when he was able to return home!!! My brother-in-law was not so lucky and died of Covid in early January. It impacted me so much that it was difficult to create kits and collections again because I was so sad and weak. I had no energy or the will to do anything. Thanks to God, my happiness has returned as well as my desire to work!!! That's why I haven’t released many new things lately.
How long have you been designing?
OMG...for so long that it's hard to remember! LOL!
I’ve been designing since 2011 when I began selling my stuff at ScrapArtist Store, but I’d been working with Photoshop for a long time before that, since 1995.
How do you come up with your color palette or theme for your kits?
First I choose a theme; then I research about it and look for palette ideas on Pinterest or Google!
What are your go-to snacks or music while designing?
I love apple juice so I always have a box on my table! We have such a fast-paced environment during the day that I don't have the habit of listening to music while I'm working.
