I know i should of known but i ordered a necklace from her for my birthday off Si,i bought it off her knowing the postage would be high but it was unique and i knew no one else here would have one so agreed to the $63 price tag and the $40 delivery (yep i know thats a lot) anyway it got stopped at customs because she put the price on the box,the people at the post office told me if she hadnt of done that it would of just passed straight through with no fee so i paid another $25 on top, think ive learned my lesson that i wont use her again the postage was more than the item itself :(

Well... are you happy with your purchase?? Her stuff is beautiful. Did you look for any designer's with similar jewelry lines in your area? Or maybe next time you purchase something like that, leave a note not to disclose information like that on the exterior of the box. It is odd to do that. I've never bought anything online where it had the price tag on the outside of the packaging? It's just one of those costly lessons learned... i accidentally printed $14 worth of copies when I only should've spent $4 not quite the boo boo you may have had but its just one of life's lessons I suppose, lol. Sorry your wallet is feeling the pinch, but it's just MONEY.. you can always make more of it!

Yikes! I love Lisa Leonard and have 2 of her necklaces, but that's a whole lot of extra costs! Which one did you get?

I'll link you in a bit it works out in my currency I paid about £40 for the necklace and £42 postage

She was required to declare the value when shipping internationally. The only other option would be to mark it as a gift, or put a lower value on there, but both of those are felonies. Not a chance I'd take, so I don't blame her.

no i dont blame her, just never had a problem with international mail before,as i said a shame cause her jewellery is very unique

I think there's a lot of people who take their chances and mark it as a gift. But I wouldn't. lol

really? i had no idea that was a requirement... sounds like a way for everyone to get a piece! (meaning the middle men of international shipping.... which i guess shouldn't be that much of a surprise anymore.)

for a business, she had to do it. If you had it sent to someone here in the states, we could've sent it cheaper and declared it as a gift. Sometimes I put the value less than the actual value too when sending things to people.

It's absolutely gorgeous though...I love her things and it's so unique, so it will be like nothing anyone else has there!!
