Lightroom or Photoshop?

They've had some Lightroom classes on CreativeLIVE if they happen to fit in your schedule. The timing for the initial broadcasts is always bad for us in Europe but they play them on repeat for 24 hours so you may be able to see it anyway, just not live. (Or you can pay to watch anytime but I never have.)

Katrina Kennedy has a good step-by-step of her workflow though it's for LR4 so a bit outdated. I still found it really useful when I was starting out, though. http://captureyour365.com/lightroom-how-to-use-lightroom-from-import-to-export/

I use Lightroom for most of my photo editing. I shoot jpeg. Keep meaning to switch to RAW, just haven't done it yet.

I use a ton of free presets. I get mine from Presets Heaven. I have also purchased a set from Sarah with My 4 Hens. There are so many amazing presets out there.

I have 4 or 5 presets I use almost exclusively.

I mostly use Photoshop for the more intense editing - cloning/selecting and switching faces, blemish stuff, that kind of thing. Then I'll edit in Lightroom first and pull the image up in Photoshop. I do have some nice Photoshop actions but it's just so much easier and faster for me to edit in Lightroom.

ClickinMoms offers some free presets every now and again. I have 3 free ones from the Cinema set that I like a lot. Other than that, I'm a VSCO girl through and through. ;)
