Let's see Spring/Easter decor

I am soooo looking forward to decorate my home for spring!

but.... I have nada, nothing, no decorations for spring.
I can't believe I don't, but I just realized it.

Have any of you started yet?
Show me some pictures of your homes... I would LOVE to see!!

One of my friends was just telling me about making an easter tree. She takes a branch and paints it white and then ties fun little decorations to it like a Christmas tree... but uses litle ribbon flowers, eggs, bunnies, carrots, etc. I haven't seen it finished yet, but it sounded really cute.

Me... I do nothing. I just let Mother Nature decorate outside and enjoy that! (p.s. I'm lazy)

hmmm...ya, i have nothing really either....i just like keeping fresh flowers in the house as much possible..

i would like a few things, though, to make it fun for the kids and easter....gonna start researching! last year i saw the cutest little knitted eggs- i may tackle that! haha!

i do nothing either.
i do try to have fresh flowers (tulips are my fave) ALL the time.
i have this thing about clutter.
it drives me nuts.

i do have this 12x12 frame over the mantel
that i've been making prints for the holidays
and putting in it.
but i've got no ideas about spring.
maybe i'll hop around
my favorite sites
and get some inspiration. LOL
i'll let you know what i find. HA!

I don't do anything either besides have fresh flower from our garden in a vase.
I do feel like getting some bright color paints and painting a canvas with bright colored flowers. :)
The weather's been really gloomy so painting is a good idea.

ok.
so i'm heading over to hobby lobby in a bit.
and thought i'd take a quick look at etsy
for some decor ideas.
here are some i think i will actually attempt!!!
LOL

love this, and think it's easily something my kids can help make.

i made one of these for valentines, but did hearts.
and think in pretty pastel colored felt (stiff felt)
these would look adorable on my mantel.

my sister does an easter tree, like mentioned early...
i love the idea of doing the branch. only with butterflies on it.

i totally forgot about the stack of frames (assorted sizes) i have cut out in the garage.
i think i might paint them this weekend and stack them on my mantel as well. inspired by this photo!

ONLY it will say

HE
IS
RISEN

because to my family
EASTER is so much more
than the easter bunny.

:)

hope you find some inspiration!!!!

Oh cool stuff, Jacque! I've had a lot of fun cruising on Etsy! I just had to go out and get some of those die-cut felt circles to sew up my own garland. I'm also looking at some Amy Butler fabric to make those cute fabric pennants. Those are the only "flowers" that will grow at my house. My Grandfather is rolling over in his grave at my black thumbs. :lol

Oh WOW!! Great ideas guys!
Jacque, I LOVE all of the inspiration.
That button egg and colorful garland is really cool!
oooh.... and those pennants. Did you make those? Or did you buy?

they would be so EASY to make.
seriously.
just use bamboo skewers and your favorite fabric.

I found some really cute little pastel colored buckets at JoAnn's yesterday -- Blue, green, white and pink. $1.99 each. Such a deal. I'm going to use them to house my fabric pennants.

I am just getting started on my Spring decorating this week, but here are some of the ideas I've collected.

I'm really into pretty table settings.

Jacque, where did you see these button egg portraits??? Was it at a place for buying?
I'm lazy this year... I'd love to be able to just buy it. HAHA! :heartslub
