Leonard Nimoy, the original Spok in Star Trek, died yesterday.... he was 83 and had a great life, and am sure he is in a great place now :)

His last tweet is amazing:

"A life is like a garden. Perfect Moments can be had, but not preserved, except in memory"

Which comes into what I say when people tell me of about so much scrapobooking.... we are preserving memories that are not quiet preserved with just the photos.... that is why I sometimes think the journaling is needed, even if only one line to explain what was going on at the time of the photo....

anyway, apologies I havent been around much, I have dentist on Monday but the pain I have been in for this past week, can't really eat or drink properly, makes me grumpy and you rather not have me on the low posting :giggle

Glad you are going to get in to the dentist. Hope you have a restful week-end, Cynthia.

Try to get some rest Cynthia. wonderful for sharing My Spok's thoughts. your analogy is also too true.

Poignant quote. I agree with you and I am trying to work on that this year - more journaling. Hope you feel better after seeing the dentist!

Thank you for sharing. That's a beautiful quote. I was so sad to hear of his passing. I am a total sci-fi geek. He was an amazing actor. And you are right, it could have been written by a scrapbooker. And that's how I feel, as well.
Glad you are going to the dentist, but ouch. Hope you can eat some solid food soon. Hugs!! <3

Love that quote of his. He was a class act and such an icon of the times.

Good luck at the dentist Cynthia! hope he is able to give you some relief!

yes- me too, I'm gonna try get back to , at least do one line to identify the people in the photos....which is what it pains me the most with my parents old photos...they have tons of photos going back a hundred years at least....but 50% of the people they don't know who they are, or remember it was a cousin but not the name, some they cant remember what the situation was...

I promised Farah a long time ago (seems like an eternity now..- was before the story tellers) that I would put together the ideas I follow for journaling- I may take some time to put it down on a post...as I saw lots of people during MOC sayi8ng their weakness is journaling- With me, I think that when I started being in lots of CTs, I kinda shortened the time and started changing styles....
anyway, great word that Nimoy left us...and so many hours of wonderful acting :)

oh btw: the dentist was great- no operation needed, am feeling great now (on antibiotics still but no pain!!!)
thanks!!!!
