Here in Alberta they have recently passed a law that prevents you from any 'distracting' behaviour while driving - cell phones, eating, drinking. Now I know it is hard to enforce the latter, but I was curious as to what kind of 'traffic laws' do you have and do you abide to them or do you have an exception to the rule and hope you don't get caught and fined?:giggle:whistle

Do tell...:)

My ADHD self doesn't do anything but drive because I get so distracted so easily, lol

i'll admit to texting while driving. . . i know, soooo bad~ maybe that should be one of my resolutions for this year. and i'm a bit of a lead foot too :)

I text when I'm at lights lol but otherwise I do abide by the rules now my husband now he is a different story he has been caught numerous times speeding and going through red lights,he has been caught on his mobile, even had his licence took off him for 6 months for his points going over 12 lol but still he don't learn,Saturday he is on a speed awareness course cause he was caught again so can do this course for £90 instead of the points on licence and fine so let's hope this gives him a wake up call

I talk on the phone occasionally, and I have answered a text at a stop light, but otherwise I'm a pretty good law abiding citizen, lol. I don't speed either :)

I found that when I was teaching my kids to drive, my driving habits were very law abiding so that is what they would learn. I've kept that up. Both my kids know not to text while driving... I only hope they are doing the right thing!

I try to be good but sometimes will use my talk to text option on my cell especially at a light. slaps myself.

Here they will stop you if they even think you're texting!

Parents can NOT smoke in the same vehicle with a child under 6! Really?!?!?! What if they're 7?!?!? That's okay?

And teenagers can not drive unsupervised between the hours of 11pm - 6am unless they are coming/going to church, work, or school.

I quite like the 11pm till 6am rule mite stop the joy riders and bring down insurance

I have bluetooth in my car, but I've heard they might make that illegal too. I text and do whatever on my phone at lights.

I have my front windows tinted...not as dark as the back (a shade lighter), but still enough that it's illegal. If I get stopped I'll have to have it removed, take it in to show them, and then I'll just tint them again.

Hee hee... we have a rebel in our midst. ;) I love it.

I'm always too busy complaining about the other drivers to do anything illegal. LOL. I am a bit of a control freak when it comes to driving. My grandma laughs because I don't ever let my DH drive me around. He has to be the passenger at all times. :p I probably speed just a little, but no other crazy behavior. I've never had a ticket or an accident that was my fault (I had a drunk driver hit me on the freeway at 6 in the morning), and I don't want to start now.

When I was working and commuting about an hour each way in rush hour, I'd see people going 60 mph down the freeway reading books they had resting on their steering wheels. It scared the whatever out of me.

No talking or texting allowed here in NM. I'm terrified of it! I've seen horrible deaths caused by people who do. My daughter is learning to drive and I plead with her every day to NEVER text while driving.

I drink/eat (but not often), but that's it. I have used my cell, but I find it VERY distracting. I can't concentrate!

I won't text while I'm driving, but I will skip a song on my ipod once in awhile. We have pretty strict laws here in NJ & NY so I try to leave my phone alone.

I only drive. With my two little boys on board I wouldn´t do anything else, just to keep them save. But I´ve seen Truck drivers on the freeway, that used to read while driving, too. it was scary

Our laws are pretty strict here too, and generally I follow them. There are times when I cheat a little though.
