oy vey i feel like our laundry doubles in the summer. all these towels and dirty daycamp clothes. doesn't help that daycamp is in the woods and the beach is basically dirt not sand. nothing can be used or worn more than once. i did six loads this weekend and that is with a big front loading washer. now i have to fold all the socks (who is wearing socks??) and put it all away!

I hear ya - we have 6 loads of laundry to do today after coming home from out trailer!

Except for my delicates (about 1-2 loads every other week), hubby does all my laundry. :tu

I don't think I've ever been completely caught up. There always seems to be at least 1-2 loads ready to wash.

Both kids gone... I can wait two weeks to have a load of clothes laundry. I do sheets more often, towels when the basket is full.

Hey... at least the empty nest has less laundry in it!

I always feel like we have less laundry in the summer. Shorts instead of jeans, tanks instead of hoodies, etc. I use the same number of sports bras and team outfits all year round, and I'm the only one in sports. lol

funny because we have SO many clothes, the two of us, Sarita and myself...but our laundry baskets are ALWAYS full!?

I have one particular frown onto ironing...we haven't used an iron here in 10 years!!!
the washing machine I have help at home ...lucky in that ironic way (I rather have to do my own laundry all the time than be as ill as I am)
but yes....
don't think the "caught up" is a possibility in this household:giggle

caught up? what's that? yesterday i finished up and put it all away. this morning the laundry bin is half full again!

I was almost caught up yesterday afternoon and then I had everyone clean their rooms and boom... 3 more loads are waiting to be done. WHERE do they hide that much laundry?

I hate laundry. Several years ago, I went to the once a week laundry system. I try (and most weeks accomplish) to do all of the laundry start to finish in one day. It drove me crazy always feeling like I had it always hanging over my head. So, once a week, we have empty laundry baskets, but it works for us!

I'm almost always caught up. Once you reach age 12 in my house, you do your own. So I'm down to just me, dh and one kid. The rest is out of sight, out of mind.

I do laundry almost every day and I am never caught up. With 5 kids I am just not sure I will ever be caught up. I don't mind doing the laundry but I HATE putting all the clothes away.

EXACTLY!! How do they do it?
Just got home from vacation on Saturday so laundry was most of my Sunday afternoon.

They can do that! Before they could even read I had my kids putting their own away! I just put a picture on the front of each drawer of what went in there. I would fold it and deliver it to their room and have them put it away.
