I was just sitting here making my Walmart pick up order for tomorrow after work and one of the things on my list is laundry detergent. That got me wondering...

Do you have a favorite laundry detergent?
Do you use liquid, pods, or powder?
Do you ever make your own?
Fabric softener? Dryer sheets? Dryer balls?
Do you use any of the scent boosters?

I have used Gain, original scent, forever...detergent and softener. A friend sent me a recipe to make my own awhile back, but I still haven't tried it. I'm just curious if I'm missing out on something :giggle so, while I hate laundry, I'd love to hear about your routine.

Do you have a favorite laundry detergent? I am completely brand-loyal to Tide.

Do you use liquid, pods, or powder? Liquid. But I should also think about using powder, it must be more cost-effective

Do you ever make your own? Wait, what? We can make our own!?

Fabric softener? Dryer sheets? Dryer balls? Dryer sheets. Either Bounce or Costco's Kirkland brand

Do you use any of the scent boosters? Never use these, doesn't seem necessary

Also completely loyal to Tide although now I use the white bottle, Free & Gentle. Liquid, of course.

I thought about making my own but the directions I saw all those years ago made such large quantities, it just didn't seem to be beneficial for little old me.

I quit using dryer sheets many years ago. Before 1996 because they bothered Mom. And, even after she passed away when I tried the unscented a few times, they bothered me. I did read a trick that having a small dry towel in the dryer with a wet load will help with drying time. Don't know why but I have a hand towel that lives in the dryer.

Can't handle scents of any kind with laundry (or even around the house).

I'm a Tide Free girl also. Usually liquid but sometimes pods.
It's so dry here in AZ that static is a problem so I use dryer sheets. Unscented Bounce. But I cut them in thirds and only use a third of one with each load. That seems more than enough. I do use dryer balls but I'm not sure they actually do anything. :D
No scents here. My mom is super sensitive to scents so I try to keep our stuff scent free so that she doesn't feel uncomfortable when she visits. My DD LOVES scents of all kinds so she has those little scent beads that she adds to her laundry only.

Tide Free pods … love that they are mess-free … no detergent spilled here, there and everywhere. I use dryer balls. IMO they don’t help with static, but I think they help with dewrinkling and shorten drying time.

Do you have a favorite laundry detergent?
Costco UltraClean (my kids and I have skin reactions to others)

Do you use liquid, pods, or powder?
liquid

Do you ever make your own?
no thank you

Fabric softener? Dryer sheets? Dryer balls?
none of the above

Do you use any of the scent boosters?
I've started using a scent booster for our workout clothes because they're stinky haha I use the orange Downy Unstoppables because I got a free sample and liked the scent

Do you have a favorite laundry detergent? I've never considered myself to have a favorite laundry detergent, but as a creature of habit I've been using Wegmans Free and Clear for about a decade and a half, I guess (since that's how long since the Wegmans was built and I started going there regularly).

Do you use liquid, pods, or powder? liquid

Do you ever make your own? no

Fabric softener? Dryer sheets? Dryer balls? Nope

Do you use any of the scent boosters? I hate artificial scents, especially the ones used in laundry detergents. I'm not even aware of these scent boosters.

Every now and then, I think about making my own, and then a little while later I think, I'm far too lazy busy for that :giggle
I've never thought the scent boosters seemed necessary either.

I have done the small dry towel in there as well. I'm not sure it helps, but I tell myself it does lol

I have never tried the dryer balls. I know some people who swear by them, and some who don't. Static drives me crazy. Sometimes I keep dryer sheets just to run through my hair! My ex-MIL was super sensitive so I always had to be careful, now I'm all about the scents lol

I'd love something that would help with dewrinkling and shortening drying time, I might have to give the dryer balls a try.

Oooh maybe I need to do the boosters for workout clothes as well! They are mighty stinky! I might have to go sniff some of them, I haven't smelled the orange Downy.

Yep, I'd say I'm more of a creature of habit as well. I started buying the Gain and just never branched out lol. I do love a good scent, though. However, some of them are way too perfume-y and I don't like those at all!

Do you have a favorite laundry detergent. Not really, but mostly Sunlight, Country Save powder or True Earth sheets

Do you use liquid, pods, or powder? Powder or the detergent sheets. I’ve been trying to cut back on plastic use

Do you ever make your own? Never thought I could.

Fabric softener? Dryer sheets? Dryer balls? Wool dryer balls

Do you use any of the scent boosters? Ugh, no.

I have never tried the detergent sheets. I looked in to them at one time, but didn't follow through with trying them. I do like the idea of those!

Do you have a favorite laundry detergent?
I usually go with whatever on sale between Kirkland brand or ALL free & clear.

Do you use liquid, pods, or powder?
Liquid. My skin so sensitive & reactive to anything but liquid (and we use the bare minimum too- not even to the 1st fill line usually)

Do you ever make your own?
I've contemplated just so I know exact ingredients but I haven't gotten into yet.

Fabric softener? Dryer sheets? Dryer balls?
I'm allergic to dryer sheets so just dryer wool balls & I put a bit of lavender or eucalyptus essential oil on them.

Do you use any of the scent boosters?
Nope... again... allergic to everything. :/

I use tide pods now cause they are easy and save me carrying a jug around with my bad hand... also i find I use less soap .

When my kids were little I did make my own laundry soap cause I cloth diapered .. it was basically baking soda .white vinegar and botax.. it worked great and clothes always were clean and smelled good.. lemon juice got out tough stains ...

I tried those smelly balls thingys but they made my skin break out in hives. So I stopped using them although I loved the smell. I do use dryer sheets once in awhile.. but I have sensitive skin.. .. vinger makes my clothes soft when I need it..extra soft

I am allergic to like, everything, for your skin. Can't wear makeup, perfumes, sunscreen, and I cannot, under any circumstances, change my laundry detergent. If I did I would likely break out into a head to toe rash. I even take my own sheets to hotels ...

That said - I use Kirkland Free & Clear liquid detergent (no fragrance). If they ever change it I'm in trouble lol

Do you have a favorite laundry detergent? Nope. I use whatever is on sale for the best price per load. Which has been the Ecos Hypoallergenic Liquid Laundry from Sam's Club.

Do you use liquid, pods, or powder? Liquid. I used to use the sheets, but they became expensive and hard to find. I've used powder, but I hate it in the HE machine. It doesn't always rinse all the way clean. Sometimes, a bit gets stuck on clothes, and I have to rewash them. I've used pods, but I find them too expensive. Liquid only calls for an ounce, so I have a shot glass to measure it.

Do you ever make your own? I have. It lasted forever. FOREVER! It was annoying, and hard to find the soap, so I haven't tried it again. Plus, since it's natural, it clumps up.

Fabric softener? Dryer sheets? Dryer balls? No fabric softener, or dryer balls. I've tried dryer balls, but didn't have a lot of luck with them. I avoid fabric softener because it's bad for athletic style clothes. Dryer sheets - we switched to Bounce pet hair and lint guard. I've been shocked at how much pet hair they help collect. My kid loves the cat, who sheds, and he used to look almost furry on his clothes. Those pet hair sheets have helped immensely with pet hair. Especially on felt type items like blankets. It's the one thing that's not great for clothes and laundry that I keep because it's so helpful for pet hair.

Do you use any of the scent boosters? Nope. I used to. I loved them! I went back and forth between Gain and Downy based on sales. But then. Someone burst my bubble by telling me that scent boosters are just as bad for your clothes as the fabric softeners. And that they also leave a residue in your washer that can lead to clogs eventually, or at least, make it less functional. They are basically wax. So, I let them go.

Bonus: I also use a clothes line! If you are looking for one, Europe sells the best ones.

Do you have a favorite laundry detergent? Gain Original Scent
Do you use liquid, pods, or powder? Usually pods unless they're out, then I'll use powder.
Do you ever make your own? Nope.
Fabric softener? Dryer sheets? Dryer balls? No softer, yes sheets, sometimes dryer balls.
Do you use any of the scent boosters? Nope.
