Happy Wednesday everyone. I'm having fun starting my guest spot in the Polly community team. This is my first Pad Patter thread.

Today is world laughter day. What things make you laugh?

My teenagers and husband regularly make me laugh with the weird and wonderful things they say and do, especially when the conversation gets so teenager-colloquial that I totally misunderstand what they are saying.

We are a family of laughter as well! I am a Pollyanna, and always try to find the good in things, and that leads to smiles and laughter. I regularly find myself hilarious! Haha! I can get set off on jokes, memes, silly stories or little videos. Anything, really.

My teens regularly text me funny things or share a TikTok or whatever makes them laugh! We have a silly sarcastic sense of humor, all of us, so it works well! I have to say when they send mushy I love you mom one, those get me and I love on them even more, lol!

Usually it's my hubby. He's also pulling out goofy things to say to me, just to make me laugh. He's so corny! :giggle

My husband makes me laugh at least once per day. Usually, it's something goofy he's doing to make me laugh, but other times it's when his hearing aids are out and he can't hear, so he will answer with something completely off the wall.

I love puns and memes, and will get tickled about those regularly. Olivia often shares funny posts with me.

I am a pretty joyous person. We laugh a lot in our household.. both my husband and I love to tell jokes .. or we laugh at silly things the dog does. I am quite clumsy so my husband and I laugh at my clumsiness. My best friend also makes me laugh daily. Did I menton I am ticklish

Yeah- we live with too many teenagers lately. During hockey season when we had our 2 billet boys (both 17) there was a lot of "that's what she said" in my house! ;) In general, we are all pretty laid back and like to joke/laugh with each other.

My sweet husband has kept me in stitches for 54 years with great stories, jokes and groan-worthy puns. My grandkids are just like him, a joy to be around.

Both my parents were very funny; and, as a devoted married couple of many decades, they did that Darby and Joan thing where they could finish each other sentences, and supply the punch lines to each other’s jokes. Some of their humorous interactions have entered into family mythology. E.g.:

We were packing up to go on summer holiday, and my mother couldn’t find her cosmetics case. Dad, totally clueless about the terminology for all of that feminine stuff: “Cath, have you found your beauty kit?” Mum, without missing a beat: “My beauty kit?! Oh John, you’re asking an awful lot of that kit!”

My parents taught me how to laugh at myself, and not take myself too seriously. It’s a lesson that has served me well.

People make me laugh all day...usually starting with my 17 year old, then my friends at work and most definitely my students! I am surrounded by some really funny people!

I love to laugh and I try to choose JOY as much as I can. My favorite laughter is when my family is together. It can be the old generation or the younger ones coming up but I love when we share old times and laugh about that! My favorite story is one time my dad and my uncle went through my grandmothers coat closet. She liked coats, scarves and all kinds of hats. As the went through the closet, it became a fashion show and my dad in some of those hats and his brother trying to show him up...Oh...we laughed till we cried!

That would make a great scrapbooking page (with or without the photos)
