Latest tapatalk upgrade for android??

Does anyone else hate it as much as I do? It doesn't default to unread, the mark messages as read option isn't user friendly to find, and when I did find it, it doesn't work. The update rendered it basically useless for me!
 
I just got it for my kindle and it is just useless to me...bummed me out, cause i am so darn app challenged...la sigh
 
i just DLed the iPhone version and I don't like it. I have nothing to compare it to, but I don't find it user friendly. And you can't see the gallery? I liked it better when I could just use the browser on my phone to read the site.
 
I tried to like these posts, but I still get an error message when I try. :( The tapatalk is useless for me. I don't like the single stream forum feed, no categories, and REALLY don't like not being able to see the gallery. I used to love going on TLP on my phone when I'm at my kid's activities but can't do that anymore since the site's upgrade. bummer.
 
Yea, I don't like it either and I haven't been reading the forums on my phone anymore as a result. I had tried it out in BETA and hated it then, so I reverted back to the older version. Then they forced this one through on my last update, and they didn't improve on the BETA at all.

I think Amy said that they could use one called Forum Runner with the new forums, but I don't have any experience with that one. If it works like the old Tapatalk then I'm all for it. LOL
 
yes there is an option to use ForumRunner here... i will look into getting it up and running next week for this site.

I'm not sure what changed but the forum categories are finally showing up for me so it is better to read now. Yea! But the lack of gallery viewing is still a bummer.

I'm on it right now. I actually uninstalled and reinstalled because I thought I'd messed something up.
 
I am not using it at all. it is not like it was which is what I liked. I can't see anything right on it now.

You can't use your phone's browser to view the forums anymore?

On my iPhone, the page doesn't auto size anymore (it's a fixed width), so in order to read anything, you have to read in a zig zag fashion - you can't pinch to zoom in or out anymore. And the gallery shows up as these super tiny thumbnails with gibberish text under it.

On my Android (with the Chrome browser) I can go into Settings < Accessibility and check a box that says "Force Enable Zoom" for websites that do that. I know nothing about iPhones or whether they have that in their browser options (or if it's in Chrome for iOS) but have a look and see if you have something like that? That's how I fixed that.
 
ooh, thanks, Peppermint. I will look at that. I've never really had this be an issue before for sites. If it happened it was probably just some random google question so I went to a different site. I'll look! =)
 
Also, as far as the gallery goes, I can't see images in the mobile version but in Chrome (for Android) I can hit the menu button and choose "request desktop site" and see the gallery in its entirety. Again, not sure how the browser on an iPhone works. But abbe if you can use Chrome on an iPhone you can get those options? (Or switch to Android?!)
 
lol, Peppermint, I am not switching to android....i am a mac girl through and through. :) But the gallery doesn't show me any option for a desktop version. In fact on the main page of the gallery on the iphone it is just a list of all the categories - no Most Recent or 1 Day, etc. It's just a list. I have never looked at a different browser for my phone. It's actually never occurred to me, but perhaps that is a good option.

I looked in the Accessibility area to override the zoom thing but couldn't find it, but it's entirely possible I overlooked it.
